Coming from different background like his, he probably had to study the slang so he could defend gang members. But there's always gonna be some stuff you just can't catch on the outside. I can think of an example being MMO slang, some of our stuff is known and been hijacked, but if you hear terms like "gank" you probably have a drastically different concept than we do. Or just slang for various instances, difficulties, and so on. As each mmo typically has its own unique slang, ontop of the common ones, as an outsider you'll probably get some meanings wrong even if you looked into it. Just the difference of studying something or being part of it. You know?

All that happens when one side retatlites is another body their opps have to get back for. Creating a literal endless cycle of blood and tears. No one wins. I started fkin with boss smooth from 61YM, but he lost his life too. The amount of talent in Chicago is CRAZY but the energy and death's usually take them before they get a real chance. Chicago just steady take L's as a whole, and everytime someone seems to want peace, they get taken out. Like I think sincerely duck was trying to extend an olive branch with Chicago legends. But I also think it was far too late given the fact every last song other than that was heavy dissing the opps. And they ain't gonna stop just because one person made one song being respectful. Not when your homies are still dissing, when your other tracks are still up making you money off their dead friend's and family member's death and misery. So I think people are too harsh on Von for not taking it seriously. But if you look at it, STL started the war, and Von lost so many people, especially close people like ODEE while he was locked up, that it was probably asking too much of him to just ignore that pain. Especially when you got other people from FBG dissing those people still. Maybe if Duck could've pulled a miracle, gotten rid of every diss track he made, got everyone associated with him to do the same, it could've done something. Maybe made a real wave. But alas, that's not what happened. And that life finally caught up to Duck like it caught up to Von just a short bit later.

If they can line up a crime that you've made a song about, it can be played. It can also be played during sentencing to show lack of remorse, for example. In this case if Drilla went down for any of these murders, the way he's disrespecting them and smiling the entire time, gloating, could be used against him to a harsher sentence. Don't get me wrong, I don't LIKE that it can be done, as artists should be free to express themselves, and these men and women are going through hell few can imagine. So to use it against them especially with how inaccurate some of them can be (intentionally or otherwise) seems a pretty big breech to me. But alas, what I like or don't like doesn't shape reality.
