Danny Marlow was repeatedly run over by a bouncer who was paid to do it by snooker hall boss Peter Marsh, who owned the Big Break snooker club, over a £40 bet that hadn't been paid from a game two years beforehand.

I was told by someone from Steven Cameron area said it was not just road rage that it was connected to money owed for drugs. Some say that Noye pulled the knife when he realised the fight was coming on top. But bottom line that it was not an isolated road rage but that there was previous dealings.

What was with fatal road rage incidents in the UK that year? I think that was the third one featured on Crimewatch in 1996. No wonder Tracie Andrews came up with that fake road rage story in November of '96.

The Daniel Handley murder was so similar to some of the crimes committed by the Sidney Cooke gang that police thought that it may have been carried out by an offshoot of the gang that they weren't aware of. It subsequently transpired that the men who did it had been friendly with another paedophile who'd shared a cell with Cooke in jail, and Cooke had discussed his Modus Operandi with him, and he then told the two offenders, Tim Morss and Brett Tyler, who had also both met in prison. Sadly, Daniel’s background was also very similar to the known victims of the Cooke gang - from a chaotic family, struggling with poverty. Much like Mark Tildesley in 1985, Mark spent most of his time on the street or in supermarkets, trying things like getting money from supermarket trolleys or washing cars for money at traffic lights. His mother had serious problems, made worse when she got together with Mark’s step father, Alex Joseph, who had an IQ of just 70 and a record of serious violence and drug abuse. It was also said that he had previously had fantasies about killing children and so became a prime suspect in the case at the start. On at least two occasions, he had violently assaulted Daniel’s brother. Daniel’s parents were notorious on the estate where they lived and were charged with gross indecency for having sex in full view of children, assault and neglect. It was said that sex parties were regularly held at their home. Tim Morss had the classic, stereotypical background of a violent sex offender. Also from a chaotic home, his father had schizophrenia and his mother game him up into care. He was passed around from foster home to care home, including one where he was treated cruelly, before they told his mother that she must take him back when he was aged 6. His mother’s home was in the poor East End and Tim was regularly beaten up by other kids for being ‘posh’. A local man became something of a father figure but he too died when Tim was 9. He was then taken back into care where he was sexually abused by one of the care workers there. He then started a long history of abusing children himself. Brett Tyler was from Limehouse but had got a long record of abusing children in the Philippines. When they got out of prison, Tyler and Morss both worked at a London taxi firm, preying on kids who came in to play on the arcade games. Tyler and Morss met in prison, which is one of the reasons why the authorities are very vigilant about putting offenders in prison for first time, non contact offences (such as downloading images online). They now know that such offenders with network in jail and often come out significantly worse.
