Today's case revolves around a fraud that consumed thousands of people's money. People would receive a call from someone stating to be their bank executive and warns them that if they don't connect their account with their Adhaar, their account will stop working. They get the required information and then take their money from their accounts. Police investigate the case after they receive complaints like this from all around the country.

Instincts/Feelings/Signals that so often tell us that not everything is normal. Maybe, that signal/feeling/instinct is just not enough to believe it could result in a crime. Unfortunately, after the crime is committed, those same signals come haunting.

I escaped narrowly. Now I switched to basic account facility that is OFFLINE. NO to debit card / ATM card, mobile app banking, Internet banking etc. My experience : fraudsters are using screen mirroring in which nothing is asked but they send you either a message of app update or link. As soon as you do that the fraudster is now able to see every activity of your phone including bank transaction details and / or MPIN.

I got also this call and I went to Faridabad crime branch. You may show police as heroes but Honestly Faridabad Police did not even take my complaint and told me that the callers would be sitting somewhere in Jharkhand.. wow and you show Police as Heroes... Grow up..

Well done. In addition to that you must have contacted to your bank 1st. Every bank has a dedicated Security and Innovation team, who are responsible for taking care of their reputation and customers trust. Great job Crime Patrol Team for creating awareness across the nation.

You know what Gagun Suri... The police must be doing something as so many cases are actually solved! I agree that they can be slack at times, but in a whole they are doing a good job otherwise so many criminals wouldn't be caught and punished for their wrong actions.

I live in Canada I got so many calls like that and most of the phone calls like that was coming from India with a thick English accent. I knew that there's something fishy going on why would I trust these scammers. Once they were trying to be so cheesy with me I fuckin shattered them on the phone and started swearing like in very bad words I know some Hindi bad words lol the caller took off lol. Thanks to Indian friend he taught me some Hindi words.

in the west we used to get all these fraud calls. my personal favorite is from the "police"saying they are coming to arrest me unless i give them payment over the phone checking account number or credit card number. i always laugh those off.

I retired from Govt job last yr.i recieved a good money amount from my office... In last 4 month a day didnot passed when i didnot get atleast 10 calls perday...but i was lucky enough i didnot answer any call..bcz.i donot want credit card....thanku crime petrol...for making us more aware...

very good educational episode, my mother got such call asking for details very very convincing call , luckily i was listening to the conversation and the time of call was after office hours of any bank. 10pm! I took over the call and asked him to give his name and employee id,lol just to check what he would answer but guess what he just hung up! this happened last year
