I'm soo gonna make this for my mom. Yes, my dad will get a masculine Father's Day card as well but my mom does all the fixing in their house...she's always fixing the plumbing, electrical, cars and without stating the obvious but she always is fixing dinner too. I love my momma and I'm a grown 39yr old woman with my own 21yr old daughter but she taught me to never wait around for a man to do something when we have the know how ourselves. My mom deserves a Father's Day card for being one superb woMAN. So I'm definitely going to try and recreate your card Melody. Shoot, I should make one for myself as well as my single mom friends who play Mr. Fix-it for their family's too. Some such as myself have no other choice or help. I've been mommy 1st since my daughter and I were left alone when she was 3 days old but I'm only "dad" when "dad" is needed. But I'll do whatever roll necessary for my only child who may I add is about to be a Physicians Assistant in less than 2yrs. So maybe I'll make her one instead as her first tool box.....hehehehe! I think ANYBODY for any occasion could use this. I think it's cool and I'm making my dad the CB2 Leather Jacket card since he's a biker and truck driver. Maybe today will be the day I play and dabble, this last weekend was too rough. Thanks for reading my fellow "LANE-ers". I saw a tip for outlining your item with the black marker that works really well for me. I have the back of the cutout facing me, that way if your marker slips, your marks end up on the back. Give it a try. :D

Love it! I'm gonna make this one for sure with my Cricut subscription. You could also put little sentiments on each one of the tools you laid in the box. That way the guy can read each one as he picks them up, and then see the surprise tools at the bottom of the box, along with a gift card. #hinthint

Hi Melody....I have a cricut question....I have welded 2 objects together to make a tent card, but when I did I lost the writing elements on each of the two objects..How do I weld two objects together and be able to keep the writing elements as well... thanks Judy

Hi Melody! I'm wanting to make this card, but when I send it to the mat it's on a 12x24 inch mat, and I can't ungroup it to put it on a 12x12. Can you help?

This might sound ridiculous, but I cannot separate the pliers from the wrench from the hammer. When I click on the pliers or the wrench the only thing that highlights is the hammer. Am I doing something crazy?

Yes, the one you shared, with the blue handles for the pliers, etc. I cannot click on the pliers or the wrench - when I do, the hammer gets the box around it. Am I the only one having this dilemma, Melody? They aren't grouped. I'm stymied. Thanks for your help.

I was so looking forward to making this for my mechanic son in law. I guess I had high hopes, that you would actually show in Cricut Design, how to design it and how you made changes, etc. I am too much of a Newbie to do it myself, it would possibly take weeks. So, yes I am disappointed. It is exactly what I wanted to do. Cricut is hard as heck to figure our, even the term “just sliced it out” is brain surgery to me. I am seriously doubting all of the things I have purchased to be able to craft with Cricut machine. Several thousand dollars into the trash can..Bummer.
