Cribs: Our 1971 Trailer Tour (Room By Room Walkthrough)

In this episode we give you a room by room tour of our trailer. It's an old 1971 mobile home, but it's held us down through the roughest time in our lives. Living in a Florida trailer park has its ups and downs, but overall it ain't so bad. It's a vibe lol.

This is a brave display of honesty that's rarely seen in the world of Influencers and Internet Personalities. Yall literally didn't try to hide or gloss over any of the realities of living in an old trailer. I've lived in 3 myself. Some of my best times were in those places. The less time trying to keep up appearances for others, the more time you have to enjoy the simple things, and bond by overcoming adversities in daily life. After watching this video, I can see that you both have your priorities and hearts in the right place. I wish you both all the success you have coming your way 💚

It’s sad that people think this is brave. They are just sharing without trying to be brave doing this. And no disrespect to what you said, I completely agree. But it’s sad that people say this is brave. Shows that people think people will get repercussions for just being your self and sharing.

@@zonedout5998 Unfortunately, many do suffer repercussions for sharing how they live. In today's society many people are shunned because they don't own the latest and the best of what life has to offer. The transparency that they gave us could be cause for ridicule amongst the snowflakes and cancel culture morons of this world (especially here in the U.S.A.) So, what they did was indeed brave. And for that I support them.

I lived in a 14×70 trailer for 14 years, raising 2 kids. Eventually got a house. Now I live in big house, but really only difference in my life style is more space. Not a damn thing wrong with trailer living , you do what you gotta do. You two are young and no doubt you will move into a house, but you will appreciate it so much more for having lived in a trailer. Love watching you two, thanks for sharing only made me love you two more.

Urine smell is sometimes mold. Check your humidity in the summer, and if it is staying over 70% relative humidity, try getting a dehumidifier, it really cuts down on odors (by killing mold and fungus).

Yep, I see so many modern women chatting about how they won’t date down, how their man has to earn 6 figures and live in a million dollar house etc. This right here is what true relationships are about - I’m 60 years old and love what I’m seeing here, she is a one in a thousand lady in this world we now live in. I met my lady when I was 27 years old….and I had nothing, but over the next 30 years we built empires together - I wish more young people would learn what a true relationship is all about…

Dudes, when I was your age I lived in a trailer with my ex wife much like that. It's nothing to be ashamed of, and I love how you just show it. It took me years to buy a home, but after my divorce I lost the house and I've been back to basics since 2008. There's no shame in that game if you're working hard and doing what it takes. Props.

I also started my independence at the age of 18 in a trailer, renting a bedroom from a friend. My girlfriend and I moved in to a small apartment in a bad neighborhood. We had a truck bench seat for a couch, milk crates for end tables, and slept on a one person roll away bed. 35 years and three daughters later, we have a huge house with an in ground pool with a view of a beautiful river valley. It's a crib. Hang in there. Hopefully you will look back on this time fondly in the future.

Yeah. I personally don’t know ANY Women who would live like that. I truly honestly don’t. That’s LOVE right there ppl. I think these 2 honestly are just soulmates. They will do, go, stay Any where, as long as there together. I wish I had a women like that. I really do. Brad is a cool guy. But, I’m sorry if I’m sounding snobby…..that’s no way to live. Like there are so many potential bad things that can happen. Mold is probably all thru out that place. Every ceiling has water damage & is a storm away from falling in. Rats, snakes cockroaches carry diseases. I can go on & on. I’m not being nasty, I’d live in a cardboard box if I had too. But it would be clean. They need to COMPLETELY take everything out of that place, clean the shit out of it, tarp the top of the trailer, bug bomb, bleach Everything!!!! Then put back only essentials. The smell of piss thru the vents can’t be a good thing. I’m sorry. I’m not hating in the place, it just needs to be super cleaned out, FOR Y’all SAFETY!!!!! that’s my concern here. You have filtered water. That’s a good start!!! Now filter everything else!!! Like you guys. Obviously a subscriber. You have like 170k subscribers now. I know someone who has just over 60k & he makes over 2k a month!!!! So just from you videos, you gotta be making over 6k a month & that’s for a 10 min video!!!!! Plus your normal jobs…..you gotta be over 10k a month???🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. In a yr. at 10k. You can have a nice little house in Florida for that $$. My #’s may be off? I’m going off a friend who’s a gamer & he has 64,000 subscribers & makes over 2k a month. I’m assuming it’s comparable. Regardless be safe & healthy. You guys definitely it the love part down. I know. I was w/my wife from 17 until we were 49. Our while adult lives together. We were poor, a child at 19. I just had to work 3 jobs to stay afloat. Been at the bottom. I speak from experience. I’d have to get yo at night to turn the lights on so the roaches would scatter before my wife came in. All out daughters bottles, nipples, all our food were in airtight containers or bags. She was a clean freak but that’s what we had to do!!! I promised her to give me a yr & we will move to a roach free, real nice apt. Took like 18 months. But I/we did it. It was right there now too. We made it work. As long as we were together tho……ultimately that was the most important. If we couldn’t move, we’d still be in the roach infested apt. As long as it was us 3. You guys are on your way. Best of luck!!!!

Michael Ray here. I just watched the tour video and want you both to know that you guys are a flat out wonderful couple. Your tour is so cool. You're doing what you love and that's ALL that matters. I like how your studio is so bare bones basic. It works. It does what you need it to do. And you are putting out QUALITY material. It's nice to see brad is so handy around the house so to speak. And to me, it IS a house. Just shaped different. The thing I like about you both is how you are "Discovering" the stuff I came up with back in the day. I --- HAVE --- to say this: Lex --- you are a bonafide ROCK CHICK. And that is a very high compliment. Both of you would have been right at home in the 70's and the 80's. And I really wish you were there for that time frame. Music was so diverse. Nobody looked OR SOUNDED the same. That's why you have such diverse react videos. The music and the Bands back then were nothing short of AMAZING. It was a fantastic period in time that will never be repeated. A shame really. Just wanted you to know my thoughts. And YES --- I am one of your subscribers. Michael Ray.

You guys getting super vulnerable in this video. You prove the point that you don’t have to have a lot of stuff to be happy. You will always have each other. You make do. You will end up in a house at some point and you will deserve every thing you get. I know Lex gonna use that garbage bag her whole life!!! Thanks for the peek into your lives. 🧡

I work in television. For nearly 25 years now. I was a news photographer for years and then went to shooting TV commercials and 'special programming' around 2006. I can't even begin to tell you how much and how often we improvise. We improvise our lighting, our camera/tripod gear, our sets, how we collect our audio. You become a MacGyver (look it up if you don't know what that means). Aluminum foil, gaffer tape, zip ties, dark blankets, old $20 shop lights, sand bags, and pvc become your best friends.

You guys remind me of my wife and myself back in the day. Brad, keep that hustle going. Keep working on small engines and anything mechanical you can grab for cheap or free. I’ve made big $$ flipping things from marketplace with the knowledge I gained from ruining free stuff lol. Lex, keep that positive bubbly attitude coming. You have a gift that can be the driving force in your combined success in every aspect of life. Never forget that. I wish you guys were in the Chicagoland area, I’d love to contribute more than just a subscription.

99% of YT people act like they are rick and live in mansions even though most don't. The fact they ya;ll can be so honest and don't mind showing your current, somewhat meager existence, says the world about you. Remember, ya'll are very young and just starting out in life. With your work-ethic and personalities, you will be living in luxury one of these days- and I wish you the best!

You guys work hard and don't complain about the have nots but always seem to be happy with what you have. In this economy there is nothing wrong with a mobile home! I’ve owner a couple, and also owned regular homes as well. But I’ve had less issues with a mobile home HOA than a residential HOA. Many parks even have lot rent less than some mortgages, it’s definitely a great way to hold onto money, especially until the real estate market calms down!

I found out that peppermint extract repels almost everything, rats, cats, flies. And I think it smells great. Also, you can buy peppermint plants and plant them around the outside of the house. I've used it myself and it works. I don't think there's any animal or insect that doesn't hate peppermint.

I miss my 'work shop'. I am not great but have tinkered, fixed, and fabricated a few things. I had my pile of scrap wood. Had the guts from a half dozen electronics hanging in a small place on a wall. Turned an old expanding golf cart handle into a swivel work light that i could move where needed. We lost everything when the housing problem happened in 2007. I managed to get an old truck and fixed it to where i and my disabled brother could live in it on the street until I could get things going. I did 'odd' jobs and lawn care to get us by. I was working for a 90 year old civil engineer that designed and supervised dams and waterways around the world and built his own house. (He brunt the engine compartment after 'Fixing' his daughters 1979 Plymouth's carburetor and I had to figure out how to rewire it without the wiring harness he could have bought). That was in California where it never rains (according to the song). When it did rain i got us a motel room. I am now across the bay in Riverview and we (With my daughter, son, and grand children) are buying a nice house. My social security has kick in and now i can't do all that I used to with eyes going bad and all but i do have a few projects and I could do more if i could just get space in the garage. LOL. My brother finally got his disability and is still in Calif. in a group home doing OK.

If you go to Lowes or HomeDepot and get a roof coating called "Cool White Silicon Coating" and cover the entire roof area (on outside) with it, a couple layers, it will do a LOT to lower summer sun heat in your trailer. I did that several years ago in single wide and it really helps a lot, lowered my electric bill for AC use also.
