CRF230F Hare Scramble - NCHSA Brushy Mountain 2015

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

My second hare scramble ever. Riding a 2015 CRF230 at Brushy Mountain, NC. This race is part of the NCHSA series - great series. Running a Hagon Shock and Bruce Triplett modified front forks this time.

    Nice job I love the 230 I'm actually building one now,so far I got cr 85 front and rear suspension,relocated battery, big bore, high compression piston, ported, cr85 carb,fmf head pipe and much more coming for it. I think they are awesome trail weapons, Don the get me wrong it is on the slower side, but it goes slow real good in tight and technical stuff, if I want to go fast or change the pace, I hop on my cr 500, cr 265, have fun with man love the videos, I done a few hair scrambles with mine, and had more fun on it, especially when I'm tractor in up stuff the fancy new bike can't lol

    excellent, I recently bought a 2017 and wanting to know pointers on jetting and or if need a power up needle as well, I'm approx 400 ft above sea level. Was thinking on the lines of a 118 or 120 main jet and possibly leave the 42 slow in without a needle change. Any advice would be appreciated.

    You don't need a rocket in HS racing. Just good susp and a bike that is easy to maneuver, preferably a bike lower to the ground unlike mx and sx.

    Hey man, congrats! I had a ton of fun on this bike but don't get to ride it much any more. Yes, they are all that way. My bike has modified front forks by a guy here in NC named Bruce Triplett. The rear shock is aftermarket Hagon shock. Besides that, just a rejetted carb, opened up airbox and some bolt on mods.

    @@TheDrRoss From what I recall, it wasn't as soft, didn't bottom as easy, rear shock didn't "buck" as much. Honestly, it's been more than 4 years since I've rode the 230 with stock suspension. I don't really remember what it felt like, just my impressions at the time.

    Why is everyone sitting around on their bikes watching you go by? Those guys quit? On the hill climbs there was a lot of them. Strange that people run these big ass bikes. It seems like a little KX100 or even a big wheel RM85 would be a better choice than BIG BIKE 450.

  • @SoftwareDevJason

    @SoftwareDevJason

    7 жыл бұрын

    I'm guessing most were tired. Get stuck in the middle of a hill a few times, you can wear yourself out pretty quick struggling to pick your bike up. Also some may not have paced themselves. This was a 90 minute race.
