you did an EXCELLENT job and have given me a ton of ideas, lol…i love how you stick to one platform when it comes to your tools…can’t beat the lifetime warranty on the Ridgid tools and Kreg tools are game changers…

Great Job. The use of coach bolts as locating lugs Is different and robust and I would imagine allows for adjustment. A tip for Aussie viewers..Instead of using black melamine Bunnings has various sizes of black structural ply for concrete formwork that would be stronger and most likely cheaper. Great video. Really like the way you put it together.

How did you mount the casters? It looks like you didn’t use the adjustable legs

Do you think this could be modified to add a dust collection hood? Maybe even get the 28” deep Kreg bench for more room to add it?

Yes you just have to accommodate the swing of the back of the saw. I thought about making a hood on my wall that I just nest the table into for collection as it sits in that spot most of the time anyway.

Enjoyed the video. I would like to drop the bottom cross rails as well, but you did not show how you did it. The holes to the cross rails do not match the holes for the leg inserts. It looks like you maintained the holes on the rails and must have drilled holes for in the legs. This would have necessitated drilling holes in the leg/foot insert. Confused. Can you share how you did this?

Hey there! Sorry I didn’t show it. It was a late night “what if I do this” moment. I simple moved the rails down, marked the holes with a Sharpie marker, and drilled the center of that mark. I then mounted everything the same way but kept the door mount bracket there as well.

Where did you get that black melamine panel ? Have to special order somewhere? I looked at lowes and home depot and only thing i found similar was a 4x8 white melamine particle board from HD ...

I get mine at Menards but I know that I can also order it at my Home Depot. You can always buy black or colored Formica and make your own. I just did it for some sleds.

Overall, how much did this cost?

Can i ask if you used the Top piece as in your cut list? as you go on to the melamine after. Didn't know if you used it for extra strength. Also have you made this that the station has to be away from the wall when you push the saw forward? I.E. the slide rail sits over the back of the station.

My initial bench had the dog hole top but then I swapped it to melamine later. Good eye. Yes the back of the saw sticks out so you have to pull this away from the wall for straight cut access. This saw was huge! I now have a new RIDGID Cruzer style slider. Fits right against the wall with no issues.

I used the leg piece but I had to drill new holes move the lower aprons down that far.

Hmmm good question. Not really. Everything still flows and works well. My biggest issue is small shop congestion and having to move a bunch of stuff to put the wings up etc. other than that nothing comes to mind when o think about it. Thanks!
