Fun fact: the noises on the title screen of "Luigi insanity" and all of the sound effects, such as when a jumpscare happens, is from an old survival horror game on the SNES called "Clock Tower". Luigi insanity was actually extremely inspired from clock tower.

Fun Fact! Slimebeast mentioned "I Hate You" was meant to be kinda terrible. It's riddled with cliches (Luigi being evil, the author jumping to conclusions based on very little, "this is 100% true," etc.) And was meant to be a "straight-faced joke." However! And here's the kicker: Slimebeast is _such a good author_ that the Creepypasta was interpreted as serious, due to his writing skill and added story images.

The ROM Hammy played was way better than the exe version, because the latter had crummy jumpscares.

I swear to god, this story is 100% true. One day, I was playing Super Mario World. Everything seemed completely normal. So, I went to get a mushroom like I had done 1,000 times before, but it wasn´t a regular mushroom. Instead, there was a mayonnaise. And the mayonnaise turned red and said, ¨EAT ME¨. Critics call it ¨Inspiring¨, ¨Maybe stupid a little bit... but good¨. Best Creeypasta to ever Pasta. ...this gets me every single time, lol

I haven't played Luigi Insanity and am just going off of what I'm seeing here, but I think the person who created it deserves more credit simply because instead of a ROM hack, it was its own thing. Like, they made unique sprites and everything. Seems kinda like something an aspiring video game creator might make for their first or second game or something.

@@grimm7001 This youtuber used the SMC Version, with no screamers at all. In the .exe version, there are 2 screamers, one is optional and the other isnt. (unless you dont beat the game) The first screamer is when you touch the creeeepy mushroom that was next to the door in the SMC version, In the .exe its next to a pipe, The other in the .exe version is at the end, when the end screen is shown, it plays a shorter version of the mushroom screamer, Both screamers display a slideshow of creepypasta/eerie images quick, with the .exe End screen screamer being shorter, it shows less images. also, at the end of the .exe one, burned luigi has no nose (idk why), Look up Differences in the I hate you creepypasta SMC vs .exe, also mario cries in the .exe version.

Y'know, I think it would actually be better if in the Cthulu game it was impossible to get the "good" ending. Like, every time you play the statues are in different locations, and one is always missing. The story of Cthulu is always one of a descent into madness, what better way to illustrate that then to drive the player mad as they try over and over but can never truly succeed? Sure, it's breaking the rules of games and being needlessly cruel, but that's the point. You shouldn't be allowed to win, because that defeats the purpose of making you feel powerless and insignificant in the face of such an unknowable, incomprehensibly powerful being.

Honestly I would prefer the statues to be photos of Cthulhu that are torn. You pick them up and put them together and once the picture is revealed Mario realizes that Cthulhu ain't that scary it's just some dude with an octopus for a head. Honestly what is SO scary about that? Yeah he's big and can still crush you but he is NOT an incomprehensible horror. It fact it seems something more like you find a furry website if anything. Yeah, yeah, there's the WHOLE shabang about Cthulhu's psychic powers but that sounds more like a copout than something to be actually be afraid of. You want a REAL "Cthulhu"? Try reading "I have no mouth and I must scream." Now THAT's a level of horror I expect Cthulhu to be at.

That first Mario Creepypasta game was actually based on a Trollpasta called "I HATE YOU" which was made to mock Creepypasta clichées, though at the time when it was new alot of people took it serious.

I have a theory: almost everybody played super Mario maker right? And sometimes you put red mushroom Into the flying clown car. The mushroom will start immediately shoot on you. That’s maybe because mushrooms hates Mario. It’s just a theory.
