What started out as Creek Fishing Adventures co-host by Ty ended with a big comeback story for John boy! He's a good friend for filming, it's usually when I play net boy and guide. One thing that I'll say on this subject: I'd rather fight with, and catch, a Smallmouth Bass over a Largemouth Bass, any day! You're right-Smallmouth Bass provide a much better fight than a Largemouth Bass. Smallmouth Bass fight harder, they're all over the place, and some of them can tail-walk on the water like there's no tomorrow! When you've got one on the line, a two-pounder seems like it has the strength of a 4-5 pound Smallie! Usually, you won't get a whole lot of top-water action from a Largemouth, but you can from a Smallie!

With the week or so days of warmer weather I was able to wade my creek about 50 mins east of Nashville (no waders) straight savage mode landed about a 12" smallie then shortly after ripped a 16" smallie they are definitely waking up now we need the mid 80's and the Whopper plopper to heat up... Definitely need to hit some creeks around Davidson county yet to do that always focused on counties east of Davidson more..

Hey John I’m curious about the chota shoes. I normally wear felt soles cause I feel they grip better in the water on slippery rock. How soft is the rubber on the chota’s and how grippy did it feel when u were wading in the water with them? Thanks again for all the awesome contents. Love your excitement every time you hook into one. Giddy like a little school girl! Lol. That’s how I get too. Great stuff man. God bless.

Depends on where and what kind of rocks. I haven’t used them in the rivers that have big flat solid rocks yet. I have only tried them in more gravel style and it has been fine so far. I have boots that are felt but they are a lot heavier and I don’t like walking far in those
