As a little boy of nine years, I didn't know any European languages except my mother tongue. Rev Fathers taught me this chant. I memorized it without learning Latin. The script is in my mother tongue. Now, I am 72. I cherish this chant. Oh, how lovely and energetically, we , boys, chanted it those days.

I have never been to any Mass but the Tridentine traditional Latin Mass. As a young convert from Judaism I traveled long distances by bus to attend. I managed to avoid the novus ordo debacle entirely thanks to the incredible mercy of God. Its been 45 years now since I became a traditional Catholic.

If you go to a Latin High Mass in your area you can chant it yourself with the rest of the congregation every Sunday. It is beautiful!

Sadly, some traditionalists made it a point to send scathing letters correcting our priest who was trying to learn the Latin Mass & accidentally mispronounced a word here or there, or forgot to bow somewhere. He almost stopped doing the TLM. Thank God he didn't stop!

I am Pentecostal, but I love this version of The Creed. I am also digging back to the early Church history and it ALL linked in Christ. We may have different ways to sing a chant, but if our chants is addressed to God, why not? At least, the name of the Lord is glorified in every ways, every languages, especially in our life ^^

This sounds exactly as I recall it during the masses held in Latin some years ago in my old parish. After I moved it is no longer in latin, which is a great shame, I wish it would be in latin, not the whole mass, but some parts, like this.
