Creative uses of the Curtain Wall Tool in Archicad with Laszlo Nagy
Curtain Wall is a very versatile tool that can be used not only for the creation of Curtain Walls but a lot of other types of structures and geometries within a building. All you need to do is get familiar with the geometric capabilities of the tool, then use some creative thinking to model other types of elements, such as ceilings, tilings, fences, and so. During this presentation, we will discover some of these use cases.
Key Learning Objectives
- Get an overview of the capabilities of the Curtain Wall tool
- Learn how to use the Curtain Wall for other types of elements with no dedicated tool
- Learn how to create custom Curtain Wall frames and panels

I am glad you found Laszlo's presentation insightful, and I hope you find some efficiencies in your processes from watching it.
I would love to learn one more sample about ceilings
Where can i find the mortar 10 mm frame ?
Any idea why, after trying to set the pattern the file crushes?
Hey man, any idea why my curtain wall ends with either a brick that is thinner, or a line of mortar, but not with an entire stone? Cant seem to solve it
Getting some terrible crashes in AC27 when performing the box stretch as in 9:27 of this video. Could this happen with overly complex geometry? The hit and miss pattern I'm working on is about 2 times more complex than the one Laszlo modelled.

I think that the complexity might be your issue. I would test out creating the pattern in an empty file. By testing it in a different file you can see if it is the complexity or the file itself.
Would it be possible to make a fish scale pattern and apply that to a Russian onion Dome?

Richard I would suggest reaching out to Laszlo on the Archicad Community to get the answer. Personally, I don't use the Curtain Wall tool in my workflows. HOpe that helps.
