I paint 12 inch tool miniatures from 3d printed designs with acrylic paints, I recommend it for relaxing and if you get get a good print that can be displayed on a shelf nicely without being to small.

Excuse me, out of curiosity, why do you make small cuts in the clay before assembling two pieces? I'm asking because I've never done it and this is new

It makes the clay stick together better :) the chances of the two pieces falling apart are lower when you make small cuts first
