Creative Idea for Stained Glass - Embellishments

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I am always trying to come up with creative ideas for use when making my stained glass projects. In this video, I create leprechaun suncatchers and show you how I add embellishments using simple charms and copper wire. Twisting the wire into hair creates texture and the charms add more interest to my stained glass pieces. Learn how to make your pieces stand out from the crowd and take your creations to the next level!

Can you please answer a question. I recently purchased some vintage sun catchers and when I received them I was surprised that the lead was soft and moveable. Is this normal?

For small sun catchers where the "Tiffany Method" is used, meaning copper tape and soldered, there should be no movement of the glass. For stained glass that lead came, meaning lead channels, are used to put the glass together, it should be tight but there may be some movement in the glass since they are vintage. I hope this helps.
