About The Story of God with Morgan Freeman:
Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman explores the meaning of life, God, and many big questions in between in an effort to understand how religion has evolved and shaped society. A different divine subject is covered in each hourlong episode, titles of which include "Creation," "The Devil Inside," "Afterlife," "Apocalypse," and "Who Is God?" To explore these topics, host and narrator Freeman visits nearly 20 cities in seven countries to see some of the world's greatest religious sites, among them Jerusalem's Wailing Wall, India's Bodhi Tree, Mayan temples in Guatemala, and the pyramids of Egypt, and he immerses himself in religious experiences and rituals. "In some places I found answers, and others led to more questions. The constant through it all is that we're all looking to be part of something bigger than us. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that we certainly are," Freeman says.

@@dremondzerano that's not true. Jesus Himself said He didn't come to unite. Luke 12:51 says "Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division." It's common sense that you cannot be united with someone who doesn't believe like you. What will they talk about? What will they do? Where would they go?

She had a longtime friend named Sherman, who also grew up in Mississippi. Sherman's speech patterns i.e, the way he talked was exactly like Hoke from _"Driving Miss Daisy."_ Except, unlike the movie character, Sherman could read.

YES, THEY'RE BANKING ON THAT NOW AREN'T THEY ? This is also another, in fact the fourth REPEAT of the same VIDEO CLIPS FROM other National Geographic VIDEOS employing Morgan Freeman; Of course he's a great narrator, and probably also a great "person" of ethical candor...BUT THIS IS BECOMING CLICK BAIT IN BEHALF OF NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC PRODUCERS. This is not a good practice to INVENT DIFFERENT TITLES JUST TO ENCOURAGE VIEWS TO WATCH YOUR SAME OLD CLIPS AGAIN, now is it ? Is that not considered to be somewhere between " false advertising" and "deception?" AS I SAID, NOT INDICATIVE OF NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC'S NORMAL MODE OF OPERANDI.

This was brilliant. I am a geologist and always struggle with creation on cosmic and religious levels. Also that regions are used as arguments to start war...I love what Morgen said at the end "we don't share the same creation story, but our beliefs don't have to divide us they can bring us together." ...if everyone on Earth was forced to watch and understand the message in this documentary, there might be more understanding and less war.

  • @sandrabentley8111

Most wars are not started with religion. There are just evil people in the world who hate others. Due mostly to ignorance. Color of a person's skin, ethnicity, greed for power on and on. As God said in the old testament "they were born evil". Genesis 6:5 The Lord saw that the human beings on the earth were very wicked and that everything they thought about was evil. 6 He was sorry he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy all human beings that I made on the earth. And I will destroy every animal and everything that crawls on the earth and the birds of the air, because I am sorry I have made them.” 8 But Noah pleased the Lord. Religion gives people hope.

Meaning we're all different for a reason and it's our differences which will help us grow together. Should we do what were meant to and choose to unite.
