That playing is simply amazing. I have the MODX but I do not sound like him. It goes to show that the musician is the most important link in the chain.

Well, also add that the MODX and Montage have different audio outs. The Montage’s sound is a bit more enhanced over the MODX.

A good musician can do wonders with just the piano sound. All yo have to do is practice 5 - 8 hours per day for 5 -8 years.

Yamaha owes this man a check, he sold this board for me.

Don't waste so much money. My ES6 has every montage and motif sound ever made plus 60gb externals worth of sounds. I'm selling for a fraction.

​@@hitzoneproductions7858 Actually the ES8 has most of the Motif sounds but it doesn't have additional sounds the Motif XF and it doesn't have additional Montage sounds. The Montage has everysingle Motif sound plus additional sounds. The only sound the Montage doesn't have is the Powergrand from the Motif Classic

One of the only synth demos I have heard someone change patches while playing, an important aspect always overlooked.

The intro was HEAVENLY......I closed my eyes and felt almost like astrally projecting....🔥

This is real excitement... I enjoy to listen that beautiful sounds and combinations in awesome performing of Mike Patrick!

I listen to this intro about a hundred times...

Amazing play from Mike and it's always a treat seeing Jacks enthusiasm for other musicians, skilled as he is himself!

Mike Patrick, man those chords and sounds on that board wow. And then you have D Bingerz on piano and Jake on guitar singing, pure gold.

Been following Mike for years here in London! One of my favourite keyboard players in the UK and great to have him on this channel

This was my favorite one so far! So much info and great sounds. Saw only synth based demos of thr Montage so I didn't know the montage had the acoustic sounds on lock like that. Please bring Mike back.

Tyros 2 Concert Guitar is better than this... Unfortunatelly the montage doesn't use the SuperArticulation tech thing.

Great video, you guys have a real rapport together which makes for great viewing. And the synth is amazing too, made to sound great with the quality of playing.

Great video. Such great playing and sounds. So refreshing to watch a couple of great musicians talking so easily about such complex things. No egos or BS here. Lovely stuff. And good old Dan Bingham gets a massive shout out too! Dan loves it. Loving the content!!! 🎸🎸🎸🎹🎹🎹

That demo sells the unit. I can't play the piano/keyboard but this makes me wanna buy and start. The sounds are professional sounding and Mike brings the sounds to life with his amazing tasteful playing.

It's unbelievable I've been on this channel for more than a year and I haven't watched this video yet. Mike has made the discovery of the modern music... He's figured out how to play good strings from a keyboard without using a VST. That's unreal to say the least! It sounds so amazingly beautiful and cool, even without considering his incredible harmonic intuition and musical understanding. #WORLDCLAS!

The sounds are beautiful. The playing is absolutely brilliant.

First of all I would like to say I love this channel and Jack's a great host! Secondly Mike Patrick has combined some great suspended, sevenths and ninth chords in his string arrangement in the outro. I'm purchasing the Montage 8 next week. I was leasing the MODX8, then I replaced it with the Korg Nautilus, but I miss the acoustic instruments on the MODX, so I've decided to by the Montage after seeing videos like this one. Thanks Jack and Mike!

That friggin' classical guitar is nuts! There's so many variables on stringed instruments that it's hard to synthesize them all, but that thing nails it! I realize a lot of it is technique also.😉

His hands allow him to reach things others can only dream of. But his ears and sense of harmony are what really makes him so good.

I wish there was a cam covering his expression pedal work, especially on that outro. Man, this guy's playing is what so many keyboard players aspire to be.

Yamaha MODX (which gives you the Montage sounds if not all the functionality) is easily the best bang-for-buck synth out there. Scenes are an absolute gamechanger for live performance. Initially I was put off by the complexity but it's worth the effort. New OS updates added sequencer and Morphing feature. The only negative for me are the piano and organ patches, which is why I use a Nord 6 underneath (pianos are fine but just not to my taste...nothing cuts through like the Nord's Bright Grand patch!) I believe this combination gives me everything I need for almost every musical situation.

Unreal how great that board sounds. I see why it’s the flagship.

A good musician can make the cheapest instrument sound amazing. We get all hyped listening to these various product demos , go out and buy the latest synth or VST, then get home and feel disappointed because our musical attempts aren’t the same caliber 😩

I use that tip for strings on Yamaha too! A big, ensemble patch layered with a solo violin/quarter really gives you options for texture
