Splash water and scrape! I love that texture and papers peeking thru!
So fazinating! I learn something new everytime I watch you create. Thanks you!
Your videos are so relaxing, I use them as a few minutes mindfulness to refocus at work as well as getting inspiration for the next experiment xxx
Judy, I could watch you and your techniques all day long. It's peaceful and fabulous. You are truly amazing. Thank you!
Gorgeous textures! Really enjoyed this.
You are a diamond Judy and I love your beautiful work, thank you so very much for the inspiration and dedication to help others achieve. God bless xxx
I especially like the areas where you pulled back the black. All in all, love this, and I'm going to use it as a springboard to collage and paint today. Thank you so much for posting this demonstration.
Love this.. Thank you - so inspiring. xx

Not sure if I like the thick black on top as it hides the pretty colors & papers underneath . The wetted down black is lovely though . Thank you for presenting this to us !
Dear Judy, I love your work, and I am really and surprise about your collage. I am 63 years old from the canary Islands; when I was 10 years old I did almost what you do or show on this video but no one did appreciate it, so I just gave up. Now I can restart once more due your work thousands thanks to you.❤

Bravo... it is calm and inspiring. It makes me wanna play, let go and be free. I can almost feel a surreal sense of my divinity at work. Thank u.
Excellent demo! Such beautiful and inspiring results! Thanks very much.
I end up with 3 or 4 sketchbooks on the go, as you have to wait for things to dry...useful for just experimenting, trying out colour schemes and techniques. Love your videos, thanks for sharing.

Bonjour de France . Travail magnifique , je vais essayer . Merci merci à bientôt
Enjoyed that. (Here on a break from the JD/AH trial!) I would cut up the pieces into small squares and randomly place them into a frame.👍🏿
I absolutely love this video. Simple but beautifully effective techniques ❤❤❤ I would also love captions if possible 🙏

Judy..this is a gRe@t little technique! Very straightforward and raw!
Also if your paint is dry and you still want to reveal underlayers, you can use alcohol.
Lovely, Judy 😍
Oh dear.
Amazing ❤
I love it😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Fabulous….. something new to try in my sketchbook, thank you 😊
Totally love it✅
Reminds me of Colorfeild painting- yes?
I am so excited to try this! Judy, do you mind telling me what you used for the black mark making? Water soluble? Thank you! Love all your recent posts.
Thank you for another inspiring video!! Question -- what weight / type of paper do you use for your sketchbooks?
Beautiful!! Love the textures and how it’s all done with minimal effort! Wondering what was the type/brand of black pencil used in the linework? Been searching for one that doesn’t activate with wet media. Thanks for sharing! 😍

@@raemanson4042 thank you so much!
Thanks for your video Judy. I love your layers. I find difficulty in understanding saturated v desaturated colours. Can you help with your version of explaining it please as I know you teach so well? Thank you

Saturated colours are bright and the more saturated they are the closer they are to a primary. the more a colour is mixed the more subtle and nuanced it will become - therefore desaturating it, as you're taking it further away from a primary. Hope that helps.
Judy, can you pls recommend a good sketchbook for these types of activities. I'm based in NZ and wondered if there was something I could buy locally? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to doing your workshop in a couple of weeks!

Hi Donna. That is a silicon shaper available from most art suppliers. There is another type called a Catalyst wedge which does the same thing. Hope this helps, Rae
