Using a snake head in place of a lizard head is like the first trick I taught myself when I got into Hero Forge. The second character I ever made was a Lizardfolk and I hated the way the lizard head looked. Only issue I have with the snake head is you can't change its teeth.

Man.. Hero forge is so good for creating and visualize your characters I just wish they had a separate Face redactor

Appreciate the mentions of layering the torso and head. The insectoid hands are also great if you want something more interesting without using gloves I'm absolutely using that tail posing tip too

I was contemplating just straight going for the insectoid hands yea, had that in the build for a while, but I eventually opted out of it cause I wanted the big old spike glove on the Saurus and I wanted consistency between the 2

Hahahah, yeah I regret to say that this build was actually going to include a Croxigor as the 3rd - but I ran out of time and if I kept it going this build would cut into time I needed to spend on the Reworking project. In another world there'd have been a 3rd model, maybe even a 4th if I was going to make a Slann, but alas :(

I am dying to see a Kobold creation from you! And these figures are stellar!

Hahah yeah, I've had a dragon video or two in mind, including both Dragonborn as well as an actual dragon or two, but not quite anywhere near finished with it yet

@@Derfholm I would’ve never thought of the eight arm trick! However I found the stacking technique didn’t work when importing characters. I wish you could lock and rig characters when they’re “done” you know?

I do, yes! You should check out one of my more recent videos - "Creating a DnD Dwarf Ranger with Heroforge" (it's called something like that), where I create a specific custom beard for a dwarf.

Kinda curious if you'll do something like this for fishmen (especially considering the range of humanoid to fishlike aquatic races out there, nevermind specific variants like sharkmen or river fishmen, etc.). Cool lizards though and we definitely need a way to adjust neck length and width

@@Derfholm Good to hear, one of the characters in a story I'm writing is an old fishman (leaning more towards sharklike) but there's no real proper head for it so I had to work with Ridged Draconian and some horns

took me like the third time watching this to realise you used the spiked mohawk for the Saurus

It is a currently in-beta Feature called Decal Kitbashing which is limited to Pro users. Unsure how accessible it is for Kickstarter members

Wondering if you, Derf, ever mess around with the colours by changing all the shades of blue to the same shade of red or green? Its fun when making lizard people or kobolds because they just become another type of kobold. Or using it on blue leather to change teams clash royale style 😅

i wish you could change the neck model. i have a snake-humanoid that has a Cobra theme to it and i cant make a model for her because of how the models in heroforge are. her neck is supposed to be like the length of her forearm so its challenging haha

The models in the links themselves have the poses - and you can grab the Uncoloured versions and work from there if you aren't able to import them with Pro. Otherwise, I will also be dropping a video in the near future with a lot of my own posing APRs which will include these
