In this tutorial, I will show you how to create fake sunlight using Power Windows in DaVinci Resolve. Power Windows are a powerful tool in DaVinci Resolve that allow you to isolate specific areas of your footage and apply effects to them. By using Power Windows to create a fake sunlight effect, you can add warmth and depth to your footage, making it more visually appealing. I will walk you through the steps of creating a fake sunlight effect, from isolating the area where you want the sunlight to appear, to adjusting the color and intensity to achieve a realistic look. Whether you are working on a film, commercial, or vlog, this technique can help you enhance the visual impact of your videos. Also very helpful if you just didn't have the possibility to light the scene like you wanted to on set. It looks to me like in a natural setting that there is a lot of light on her face and anybody reading might lie on the bed as to get that light on the book. So to me it would look more natural to keep the light on that bed background but without the vignette to catch the light that looks like it should be coming from a light source from above the girl. A light over the bed would explain the key on her face and the light that would be hitting the pages. The way it is staged without visualizing a light from above - her head would be blocking the light to the pages and in most cases, people wouldn't do that naturally.
