Jenny, I can hardly wait to see these plants flush out a bit and tulips showing off! Mimi and Cici are the dynamic duo teammates as well as Brenna! Love her bringing her stick to help. LOL! Mr. Jerry you are so good with the drone footage! This is worth a double watch.

Beautiful! One thing I love about the signature garden is it’s somewhat of a departure from your usual design. More formal. Hopefully these lovelies survived your crazy flooding storms.

Love pansies! I didn't know about them till we moved from Indiana to SC. They're planted all around public buildings here. So pretty and cherry in winter. So I planted some in my garden. The deer had a special treat, but they didn't thank me. So I planted them in my window boxes and every time I look out, their cherry faces are looking at me. Sorry deer. Can you see your signature garden from your house?

Love it, Jenny! The only thing I'd think would look great, too, would be to ring the quadrant with violas and putting all the pansies in the centers. That way, they would be visible no matter what side of path you are on. I seriously love the color choice!!

What a joy to have such beauty in January! Gardening is such fun. I have pansies I got last May still growing in my shade flowerbed because I couldn’t bear to throw them away.

I love winters in the South because we can enjoy all the seasons with out extreme winters; we had snow last night in Northern Georgia.

Wish I could plant even pansies now but we are going to have minus 8 temps over the weekend with a high of 10. I don’t even think the pansies could survive that type of cold. They look beautiful!

Sorry, I jumped ahead with the greenhouse question...you answered that 😁 I do also have violas planted in smaller, movable pots that I move into an unheated garage during the coldest overnights in winter. Like when we are in the low 20s. Easy to move them in and out. I'm guessing that it's hard on the plants to have potting soil/roots freeze solid? Much easier for them in the ground.

Yes, the pots could freeze solid, but in the ground, the temp would have to go pretty low for that same amount of soil underground to freeze.

Will you be placing the benches in their places now ? It has turned out beautifully!!! Looking forward to Spring, to watch everything fill out ! 😊❤

I have struggled to grow pansies from seeds. If anyone has any advice, I’d sure take it!

Gorgeous. I'm guessing that these plants have been growing outdoors and not kept in the greenhouse? That would be a shock to be moved outside at this point? You mentioned a few years back about violas blooming more consistently throughout the coldest weather and you're so correct. I only use violas in my 8a garden now and they are beautiful all winter. I add in dusty miller for larger leaf impact. This area will be stunning! Thanks for the info 😊

Jenny, I’m on the western side of SC. I want to plant a few boxwoods. My dream boxwood is cold hardy, drought tolerant, true green year round, and needs little to no pruning. Can my dream come true?! Thank you for your advice. 🐾🐾❤️ This garden is going to be beautiful 😊❤

Living in NE Ohio, it's weird (in a good way) to see planting of annuals in January, even if they are cold hardy!!

Yes! We will have them scattered throughout the surrounding areas, but not a formal rose garden like before.

So gorgeous… that one boxwood - first one on the right drives my OCD crazy, will you be lifting it to be the same level as the others now that the wall is in?

Q: is it safevto plant a rose bush if temps will drop to 25 degrees in the next few days?

How long will the plants flower?

What are the zones you can use these flowers in?

They are annuals so they can be grown anywhere. The time of year will be based on where you live and your climate.
