Ted: Brilliant video. Quick question: Do you know if I can use layers to display different forms based on user selection without loosing the field formatting or the existing JavaScript code. ?

Yes you can, but a better way would be to use Templates.

This is a brilliant video and example of what I've been trying to achieve with some food packaging labels- I hoped you'd fixed my issue but unfortunately the link you posted just goes to a 404 error page. Love what you're doing tho Ted!

If you have a layered PDF you could spawn a page from a template on the layer where you place the template.

HI, thank you for sharing and solving such frequent problem. If I may, there is a question that I have, when you visualize the PDF in a browser it appears that the java script doesn't work because when you click the tab nothing happens, or in the case of Chrome browser the tabs don't appear. There may be a problem with the script??

Actually, Acrobat JavaScript differs quite a bit from JavaScripts used in Web designs. If you use JavaScripts in PDFs and view the documents in a Web Browser, you find more often than not that they don't work.

I have temporarily suspended my Creative Cloud membership. I'll pick it back up after the first of the year and try to get back to you. In thee men time you can find many videos on KZread on InDesign and using layers.

thanks for publishing this! it's EXACTLY what i need to figure out a project for my boss =) unfortunately, I wanted to cut/paste the java script and I can't get the link to work on my PC, my MAC nor my android phone :-/
