Creating Gilis Rock Creative Studios with ‪@RichardDGilisOfficial‬ . This vlog follows our journey to fit out the music equipment for the music recording studio.
We are doing something that has never been done before - building a music and video studio on our tiny island Gili Trawangan, Indonesia.
There has never been anything of this scale here - a fixed studio with complete professional recording equipment for anyone to book and use.
So our first challenge is sourcing the music equipment and this will require quite a journey. So let’s get a boat to the mainland, and jump in our car, drive to south Lombok and take the freight ferry over to Bali to go shopping for music equipment in Bali.
We needed to find proper drums, cymbals and other equipment so we had to go to Bali. We decided on Tama Superstar Hyperdrive maple drums, Zildjian A Custom Rock series cymbals, and all premium range of Evans drum heads. Come and play music with us in Gili Trawangan. The studio is available for music recording, rehearsals and equipment is available for rent.
