You could cut the leaf in your base and put the stripes inside to show where the leaf is cut out.

I'm glad you like this. Thanks for your suggestion, but with the stitching around the leaf I don't think it would look right, and with the intricate curves of the leaf I might not be able to get smooth and clean cuts. I just found a way to work around it. 😉
Hi your cards are very beautiful, loving your ideas. I am just starting off card making and maybe you can give me an idea, should I get a die cutting machine, embossing machine, or the Cricut or Silhouette ? Which would be the best recommendation for a beginner card maker ?

Hello Saffia! Thank you so much for your comment. So glad you like my cards and ideas. I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and only use (and sell) Stampin' Up! products. We do have a very good Cut and Emboss Machine that I can highly recommend. It is easy to use and you can do all your die cutting and embossing on it! Here is a link for you to look at. www.stampinup.com/ Just an FYI, Stampin Up! has a deal right now called Sale-A-Bration (SAB). For every $50 you spend, you get to choose items from the SAB brochure for free! Also, an order that size could qualify for additional host rewards! Email me at lorraine@stampwithlorraine.com for more information and visit StampWithLorraine.com to see more projects.

Stamp with Lorraine Hi and thank you for that 😊
At 2:35 is your square acetate piece secured to a piece of white copy paper? Or white cardstock? I can’t tell. I admit I haven’t watched all the way to the end yet but I understand how all the upcoming steps are done.
@stampwithlorraine5074
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Carol. I'm glad you asked. The white paper you see is just what comes with the acetate (window sheet) to separate the sheets in the package and keep them from getting marked up. I left it behind as I made the card so that it is easier to see the window sheet and it continues to protect the back of it. Look at 7:30 and you will see I left that white paper behind before I did the die cutting.
Did you try it with the blade up. Seems like it gets more pressure that way.

Hello Chris. Unfortunately I do not fully understand your question as it is not translated to English. I think you want to know the name of certain paper, but not sure what exactly. All products are from Stampin' Up and the colors are Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride, Polished Pink and Basic White. The clear acetate is called Window Sheets in the Stampin Up catalog. Does this answer your question?

I apologise if I go over or ask questions that you do addressd here: I just couldn't follow the whole video. Do the dots on the back of that "die" mean it imprints instead of cutting. I have a punch actually, that imprints (deeply) but doesn't actually cut what is inserted. Interesting though, as I have not encountered this type before :-).
@stampwithlorraine5074
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! 😊 Good question. Some of the dots actually cut, and some of them are for helping to poke the paper out once it is cut. Very handy!
@trevanji
Жыл бұрын
@@stampwithlorraine5074 Not to belabour the point but it helps me learn too. I think those dots are only designed to imprint and therefore are shaped the way they are. I have never seen dots like those on an actual die before, which is why my reasoning is this way. Even those dies designed to cut into the cardstock, instead of providing a die cut piece, have solid cutting edges (not dots). Some things are so obvious and through the years advertised accordingly, and there are other 'items' that are old/er or new to the market and not fully caught on or are obscure. I love your work :-).
