All of his ideas work so well that when I see them I think "Of course, that's what you must do.", but in reality I would have never thought of doing it.

Can you make a video on where you get inspiration AND where to get your wood materials. Maybe where to get the cnc machine as well as other tools used. Would be helpful for beginners . Great work and thank you!
The complete Gatlin gun was slick as all get out! Lookin fantastic.
Hi there. I found this series and have watched them all! I LOVE this mech build! What really sets your build apart is that you look at it from a very "real world" perspective - you think about how it would really function if it was real - adding the pneumatic pistons and huge hinges etc! Have subscribed already and am going to watch more of your work now!
Insanity. Utter madness. RESPECT.

The MDF actually has a nice surface texture when painted - looks like rolled steel armour plate !

Hmm, that's interesting, I've never thought of that!
The spacer for the gatling gun arm is polypropylene or something. Im surprised you can glue it well to MDF.
Incredibly awesome build. Holy cow! Insa e amount of detail.

He has a lot of faith in super glue. I wonder how sturdy this all is?
@CutTransformGlue
4 жыл бұрын
It's sturdy enough! CA glue seems to me the best option to work with different types of plastic and MDF, it's strong and doesn't leave too much residue (not the case with epoxy). Sometimes, some type of reinforcements are needed, I'm currently testing some threaded inserts, for smaller attachments...But I'm open to suggestions :)
Thats so fine, so brilliant. I like it! great ideas

Great build, very inspiring. Another way of replicating an ammo belt is to use either an expandable watch strap or metal sleeve suspender.

That's made from a Q-tip! I'll make a quick video tutorial about it soon :)
Hello. These videos were very instructive and demonstrative of many techniques of building models. However, there is an aspect alluded to early in video #1, but never again mentioned that makes the whole model less impressive from my view... and that is the visual 'mass' of the object and it's support. This machine would sink into the ground, even reinforced concrete. And it would leave measurable dents even in multilayered armored deck plating. Too much weight is concentrated into too small of an area. Like tank tracks, which spread a vehicle's weight to reduce ground pressure, this machine needs a wider weight distribution system. I would suggest two or three 'toes' fanning out forwards and to one side, with a larger 'toe' facing backwards to also help distribute weight. The rest of the model is well thought out and pretty well detailed, in my honest opinion. But the feet are sadly lacking and ruin an otherwise excellent design.

Hey, CTG! How’s it going?! Happy New Year, bud. I hope you receive everything you wanted for the Holidays. I found shipping from CT to Brazil is a lot of paper work and quite expensive, but my wife and I are working on it. Also, I’ve been video recording pieces of my robot armature project, man it’s going to be highly edited and quite possibly in a few parts. I have like almost twenty minutes from blue prints to machined aluminum just for the head, alone! And it’s just a small square box, basically. Not to mention videos on the torso (probably like four hours or more) the shoulders and biceps about 6 hours, I haven’t even gotten to the forearms or legs yet, ha ha ha. And I may have several hours of video altogether, but I’d edit each down to 10-15 min. I just guessing maybe 8 to 10 parts, after editing, I don’t know yet but it’s coming along. Man you’re really detailed oriented! The robot and all it’s intricate pieces and designs look fantastic! Man, I really wish we were neighbors, because I would teach you how to use all my machines in my shop. Man, you would be an excellent model special effects artist. You really know how to make use of all your greebly’s which are littlest pieces used from left over parts you make or find and add to your designs. After I’m done with my armature robot project, I may need, blueprints of your robot legs, to make them out of aluminum, after which I’ll send to you when they’re done. I’ll all information from you after, I’ll let you know when. Hey? Keep up the good work, they’re awesome!👍

Hey Eddie!!! How are you buddy? Happy new year, hope you and your family is doing good! Cool I can't wait to see your robot, specially since it's all made from alluminum... I'm sure it will look just stunning! If you have any doubts on the editing process just send me an email at cuttransformglue@gmail.com, and we can chat about that and all the other projects! As for the video, man, thank you so much for your kind words, as always! Really, this kind of stuff keeps me going! I really wish I could learn with you and at your shop, metal working is one of my future dreams... And about the blueprints, I'll provide you mine project files and measurements for sure, just tell me when! Thank you so much again, let's keep chatting!

Great build so far, love your work and i like your presentation. One thing is nagging me from the start tho - there is no horizontal rotation for weapon platform (not counting flame thrower) or upper robot body. U need to rotate the whole robot in order to shoot anything that is not directly in front of u. or maybe i missed something. Anyway, keep up the good work. Cheers
@CutTransformGlue

Yeah, you are totally right! I should have used something like a "ball joint", to at leat give the ideaa that it could rotate freely... Thank you for your words!
