Reminds me of living in Fresno, where I walked out of a winding cal du sac suburb, through the street since the sidewalk vanished, through the parking lot if a big lot grocery store, across a large abandoned dirt lot, across train tracks (this wasn’t an actual crossing so if you feel rumbling run), to the corner of the lot that had just a curb ramp. Into the dirt. Unconnected to any other sidewalk. That ramp was the corner of a stroad so wide that it would sometimes take 12-17 minutes to get to the other corner, where my work was. A 30 minute walking commute for what would have been 5 minutes in a straight line. Your city is abysmal. Do more of it. 😈

Good point, plus the rise of the AfD is troubling, to say the least. Added to that are the ramifications of climate change heating up (no pun intended) and altering precipitation and mean annual surface temperatures, and it's no wonder the Rhine went dry in parts last year. So yeah, all in all, not great in Germany; BUT, if given a choice between Michigan and Germany ... Germany still looks better, sorry. Say what you will about Ann Arbor but with the amount of contamination, economic disparity, and proximity to Ohio, Germany still comes out looking good. @@benisrood
