Thank you for you post and all your content. I appreciate that ai tech should be able to radically change the interpolation and translation process where we simply need analysis and reproduction tools to make an image a facsimile of another. However I just didn’t understand that final example where you you tried make your source clip resemble a particular movie still. The choice of reference clip seemed pretty incongruous to the source in almost every way and it seemed a bizarre match to try and pull off. Consequently I thought the result was pretty poor, especially compared to the original process where a simple correction was done. Maybe I am missing something but this app looked like very basic colour grading and pretty poor ai colour matching. I am sure it should work better in matching but surely the source clips have to have more tonal and colour similarities in the first place. Also although I understand these videos often have to be rattled out as an overview but maybe little more detail would be very helpful by way of comparing the same process conventionally. Thanks so much for the post and all your continued output.

Cmon. CineD deleting my comment?! I am a professional Colorist for 20 years and this is not cool. CineD: You are testing cameras very carefully. Please contact some colorists first and test those grading tools, too. I will not repeat what I wrote about the product because you will simply delete it again. This is my only advice: Speak to a colorist. Test those tools. Thank you. Have a nice day.

@@CineD Ok. I´ve tested those Tool. The scopes are just a gimick. YOu cannot change the pivot in contrast mode... this will creates problems if you want to work with that lut later on. The "matching" tool will not create "clean LUTs". It is pretty much useless. I admire that you do a Dynamic Range test and test the cameras. Bitrate, codecs, Dynamic Range. You should do the same with plugins such fylm.ai. In my comment I was talking that fylm ai is like "this makes you transform your iphone footage to Arri Alexa". And the first glance. Yes. maybe. But the sensor, codec, dynamic range matters. It matters what is "Inside". What is "under the hood". The same with LUTs. Even "dirty LUTs" can produce nice looking images. You have to test those LUTs. And you have to test those tools which creates LUTs. My advice: Go to "Lift Gamma Gain". Search for LUT testing or something like that. Or start a new thread and ask for help. Reach out to a professional colorist. Doesn´t matter which one. Any professional colorist can tell you tipps in 1 hour or less how to test those tools / and also LUTs. And this is NOT a "stock LUT" footage vs. Professional LUT thing. There is a place for stock images and stock music. It will not hurt "true musicians and filmmakers". But those "LUT creation tools" are sometimes a lot of trouble between colorists and clients. All I want to say is: Reach out for a good colorist how can help you testing those tools and help you with those articles about "Resolve, Grading Tools, LUTs" and so on. Thanks!

@@allenpayne9182 Hey Markus Magnon. First and most important, thank you for contributing to the conversation. Truly appreciated! I value your opinion and I presume that you've tested fylm.ai already. I'm NOT a professional colorist, and this specific tool works wonders for me. In any case, the idea of fylm.ai was never to give an iPhone (Or an inferior product) the "ALEXA look", but rather help in creating LUTs upon needs. If you have concerns and would like to contribute to the development of this tool, I can connect you directly with the creator of the app, but even more interesting, offer you the possibility to review fylm.ai and post your findings as a professional colorist in CineD. Whatever can work for you best, let me know. Thanks again! Johnnie

Hi Markus, Goran from fylm.ai here. Thank you for your feedback. I would love to hear from you any feedback that you might have and about anything you think we can improve. I'm particularly interested in your feedback about the negative points you mentioned especially the dirty LUTs. I would love to hear about your test and under which circumstance you encountered them. We want to improve obviously what can be improved but I was a little bit surprised to read about dirty LUTs because during our private beta we have had feedback from a HUGE streaming service and they never reported anything like that in their tests. Anyway, feel free to shoot me an email. You can write to the support email on our website (I don't want to post my email here) and I'll get it and we can take it from there.
