Oh this is amazing how much it looks like real copper patina! It reminds me of all the sponge painting on walls I used to do in the 80's!🤣🤣🤣

This looks like so much fun, Kathleen, and the result is really stunning. I can imagine that it does take a bit of practice of using a light hand to get the best results. I enjoyed watching you paint the paper. Several years ago, I found a pack of scrapbooking paper--all the same pattern, it's an enlarged school child's spelling paper. It's gray. Yes, as a whole the pages are pretty ugly, but the paper itself is nice. I think this technique is just the thing to transform some of the sheets into loveliness. The whole pack was $1.79, so a bargain whose time has come. ha ha Thanks for sharing your techniques. I always learn from your videos.

Thank you so much for the tutorial. I want to create a seaside/underwater journal and this technique should be perfect with changing some of the colours (i.e. no brown or greens).

So cool, Kath! If I used scrapbook paper, should I still do both sides?

@@jennileecreates thank you Jennilee! Just do the white side, unless the printed side is ugly, haha. You can paint over the print if you want to, though.
That turned out so lovely. May I ask the color names of the paints that you used please. I will have to save this video and try it when I do my steampunk journal TYSVMFS ☺♥
