Hi Freddie, yes I think a product catalog would look great on ISSUU. They have a template to create a catalog, I haven't tried it yet, but it looks good. They also offer to add "shopping links" which look like a little shopping cart icon when you hover over it with your mouse to indicate people can click through to buy your products. Something to try!

I used to have account years ago, and then they started Charging a ridiculous price to use the service. The free service was good back in the day, and then they changed everything. It would be great if you could allow people to download on the starter plan. I may use it again because of you.

Give it another try maybe, starting with the free plan which I found quite complete TBH. I love that we are not limited in terms of number of publications and that we can also add links and videos in them for free.

Our editor creates them in Premiere Pro based on Canva designs we have developed.

Questions: How do we create original elements so if we sell things digitally using Canva's elements, that we don't have to worry about copyright things later on? The elements are free yet only to a certain points if you look.

Yes, that's the whole question around the licensing agreement. If you use your own photos and stick with basic lines, shapes, fonts and colors you should be fine. Yes. If you have a Paid account and allow downloading, then people will be able to download your publications. No matter if they have a paid account. Same with the ad-free experience and full screen sharing.

Hi 1️⃣ Can you insert Text to Speech Button for prononciation for other Languages into the E-Publication? ℹ I mean the kind of Audio image that you click on for pronunciation E.g. the speaker image that can be clicked on 2️⃣ Can I import my own images 3️⃣ Can I copy and paste my own Text as my work is African Language with unique Tone Marks that need to be exact and accurate. Of course there will be some English. Thanks

Great questions! 1/ I'm not sure about inserting the Text to Speech Button. If you have a URL, it might be possible. 2/ import your own images: yes. 3/ copy/paste your text: yes. Now you'd have to see if the tone marks and accents are supported.

What I require is like if you type for example Happy prononciation into Google seach, there is this speaker 🔊 image next to it which you can click and it will prononce the words. Thanks in advance 📝❌ I don't need the phonetics ✅ I just require the knowhow of how to insert 🔊 (which has my recorded prononciation of the word) next to each word so that when clicked, the user can hear how to prononciation it. I wonder, the ISSUU format pertains more to computer platforms, but the use of cell phones is taking over the digital world, I dont see a flip-book cell phone friendly, do you?

I get your point Alf. Have you tried it on your phone? I downloaded their app and also tried it in my mobile browser and quite like the experience. You’ll loose the page flip effect on mobile but reading through the magazine (A4 vertical format) was comfortable. I also tried viewing a presentation deck (16:9 landscape format) and the experience was great too when I flip my phone in landscape mode. One particular thing I loved was that you see a double page by default, like an opened magazine, but if you double tap on a page, it zooms nicely to show you only one page full screen. I found that pretty clever. I am yet to try it on my iPad.

The free option does not show up when you go to their web site. I had to read the comments here to find the link you gave. You might want to make that link more prominent. I almost just quit, thinking it was just a bait and switch technique.

Just wanted to follow up as I signed up for the Pro version of issuu. Issuu DOES NOT have the ability to properly embed any of your Issuu pdfs on your canva website. Just wanted to warn others before they pay over $250 for something that may not end up being what they need. Issuu does have an integration with Canva but doesnt always work properly (it loads maybe 20% of the time), and I've never actually used it because it kinda easy to simply download my file and upload in issuu.

Hello there, thanks for sharing that concern with us. If I remember correctly, the paid plans of Issuu allow you to "Insert content on own website" using embedded code. I haven't tried this functionality myself, because at the time of filming the video I didn't have a website of my own (other than a Canva website). I believe the problem is that Canva websites are known for not supporting code embeds... that's probably why your embedded content isn't loading properly. Have you had a chance to try the Issuu embeds on another type of website?

ISSUU is a publication platform. So people can buy your paid publication to read them via the platfrorm. It's just like buying an ebook or a digital magazine.
