Great tutorial but I'm getting bounding box problem with the glow. Tried Grow Bounds & CC Repetile but nothing works🥲 Can anybody help?

I'm using Auto-trace on an imported icon in After Effects and applying a glow effect, but the glow is constrained within the original square background of the image. How can this be extended or expanded?

Try making the image scaled down and then precomposing the png itself so you’ll have that entire screen space that becomes the new borders. Then you can auto trace that and so on and so forth

Newbie here. I imported a .png icon but when applying auto-trace none of the anchor points are highlighted. Furthermore, when I apply the Saber effect my original icon disappears. I’ve also tried creating my own icon with illustrator with the same result. Is there a setting I need to change?
