How To Create Engaging, Cinematic Presentations in Keynote

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Join me in exploring the creative world of cinematic presentations using Keynote's Magic Move and Remove Background tools. In this tutorial, I'll guide you through the process of employing the Magic Move tool and creating a “Ken Burns effect” to add a touch of cinematic interest to your slides. This art of dynamic zooming will transform static slides into engaging visuals. Learn also how to seamlessly integrate text behind elements, enhancing the visual storytelling of your presentations. Whether you're a student or teacher, business professional or enthusiast, this tutorial offers practical insights to help you captivate your audience with dynamic, cinematic visuals.
You will note that sometimes the dynamic zoom (through Magic Move tool) looks a little jerky here on KZread rather than creamy smooth. This a result of compression. The actual slides in Keynote play buttery smooth on my computer or in a live, face-to-face presentation on stage.

Also, if you had more ideas for Keynote (or PowerPoint), I think it would be a great little series to watch. I teach a presentation course at a university in Kyoto and we actually watch some of your videos for homework to learn things. This kind of simple tutorial can really help them.

Yes, I used to use Photoshop for this, but PPT and KEY now can do a good enough job. I am new to using the tool too because it used to -- years ago-- not work so great. :-)

What source did you use to get that little animated character climbing Fuji?

giphy.com. - can't find that one now, but there are many. Stickers for the animated gifs. Sometimes they do not download as animated gifs but as webp, but you can convert here: ezgif.com/webp-to-gif The converter site worked for me, not sure how many you can convert for free. On Giphy, some of the stickers do download straight away as gifs.

Hi, Deepak. I can not tell exactly what the problem may be without seeing it. But yes, you can have different images behave independently depending on how you animate them. Perhaps they are linked (you can see if the timing of each is same in Build Order). Or the photo you do not want to zoom-in has an animation attached so you just need to turn it off. If you are using Magic Move, then as long as only one of your photos is a different size, then that should be the only one that zooms-in. Sorry I am not of much help without seeing what your problem is :-(
