THis was awesome. I had issues trying to figure it out for myself (didnt know how to transform the smart objects, and didnt know about the pen!). Thanks a ton! off to work on 50 images for templates.

How do I clean up the edges where the shapes didn't overlap?

You can use a layer mask, in the layers panel, add a mask to the smart object, pick the brush tool, set it up with a 70 to 80% Hardness and a black color, and start painting over the edges you would like to hide, hope this helps ❤️

@@pixsmith Thanks for this awesome video! The edge fixing helped. Where there is edge missing, is it possible to go back and correct where I traced with the pen tool?

@@courtneyxlynn Yeah, you can adjust the path you traced using the direct selection tool (SHIFT+A). Select any node (blue dot) and drag it to adjust the path. Hope this helps 🙏
