I just finished setting up my little paper craft room. This is the first project that I did. I'm just starting my journey to making junk journals. Before actually making a journal I'm planning on making 'snippets' for putting in the journal. I figure I'll get my feet wet by creating that stuff and then the big thing. I haven't created with paper since my school days and that was 4 decades + ago. Always enjoyed it, so looking forward to going back to childhood fun times.

Miss Heather, 💕 Nearly two decades ago, I learned how to make this, and made my first cut-and-fold mini treasures weeks before Christmas. My dear, beloved husband absolutely fell in love with it and encouraged me to make these for family and loved ones as Christmas cards that year. I made a pile of them, all different, however was embarrassed to send my handmade mini card/journals, wondering if family would think, "What in the world is this?" 😂 Since then, I've rarely stumbled upon videos of these precious gems. Your lovely mini journals are breathtaking!! 😲🥰 Years ago, I introduced paper crafting to my mother-in-law and sissy-in-law. It took awhile for them to understand the art, but since, they are amazing, and have FULL art studios dedicated to crafting. 😂❤ I may just go ahead and send mine out for Christmas this year. 🤭🤗 Thank you for sharing this mini tutorial! I've subscribed and cannot wait to see what other treasures you've come up with! Much appreciation from Texas, ~Christine 🙏💞
THANK YOU so much Heather!!! I have always wanted to make a junk journal and after watching this video I feel inspired/ready!

As a former teacher, I made these little books with my students when we studied explorers. Students had a template to cut and paste on the pages for names, dates, countries explored. They loved doing it. These are quite lovely, I may make some sweet Valentines for my grandchildren. Thank you for sharing.

Sooooo cute!! What a great addition to a journal or a sweet little journal for a gift! You explain things very well!
Seeing how you put this adorable little journal together is not only inspiring Heather, but also makes my fingers itch to have a go. It’s such a lovely way to use up tiny scraps and a handful of these would make great standbys for gifts or exchanges. I love all the little embellishments especially the prayer card and that pretty little lace motif you used on a card which acts like a tab. So many lovely ideas. Thank you. Looks like you’ve mastered your new iPhone 🥰 xx

An adorable little book...your book is called a Zine...thanks for sharing
These will make great Valentine treats for my family and friends! I'm a retired elementary school teacher and we used to make these books with primary grade students. They could write and illustrate little stories. Teachers call them "Poof Books" after that final step when you push the folds together - POOF!
