Perhaps a more “fun” video to do would be cream blushes in unusual colours? Like the purple one from Em Cosmetics, for example. Or, I don’t know if this is your style at all, but sort of like your celebrity make up bag series, but instead inspired by looks from movies and art? It wouldn’t be exact, I imagine, but I think it would be interesting to hear your take on that.

I love purple blush. Fenty and em come to mind. I don’t think she wears any of that. Purple and blue highlighters are my favorite as well.

@@matildaonvideo I would say both due to their pigment! ofc matte lasts a little bit more, but I find that the shade Grateful is not only dewy but very long lasting! and thank you! :) Have you tried their purple blush in Faith and Grace??

Has become my favorite part of my makeup routine. I totally agree it’s all about the shhhhheeeeennnnn.

I’ll be interested to see some multi-taskers in the next edition of this series. You always have great suggestions for those with your preference for more minimalist make up. I’ve recently been looking into the Byredo colorsticks as a possible multi tasker (although personally I think the colors available are ones I’d use more for eyes). I’m open to whichever texture, but I would love to see blushes that can do double duty as bronzer too. That color that is a combo of bronzer and blush tone in one. Maybe a spring/summer color and a fall/winter color.

I love this category. I am having a hard time finding cheek products that have a long lasting effect. I have the milk blush in ‘werk’ and I find myself reapplying a lot throughout the day. Maybe a video that showcases all the long-lasting cheeks would be fun. I am wondering if creme to powders last longer? Definitely curious to see. 😋🤩

Thanks Vanessa! Matte cream blushes usually last longer, covered in the first episode in this series ☺️👍 You're right about cream to powders too! Wear time is always tricky to comment on because there are so many variables for each person (skin type, skincare, other makeup you're wearing, climate etc), but generally speaking, cream products aren't the way to go if you want something to last all day - they'll usually sink into the skin slightly x

Often times if your cosmetics are not lasting long, it has to do with your skincare techniques.

My absolute favorite cream blush at the moment are the Rose Inc blushes. I have foxglove and ophelia, they’re both gorgeous.

I will be honest the only non powder blush I’ve tried is the nudestix sunkissed which lasts a long time on my skin....the rest don’t seem to have staying power. But these are all so so pretty 😍 that em cosmetics one looks beautiful. I still am crossing my fingers and waiting for the Victoria Beckham cheekies review

In terms of other video suggestions for this cream blush series, I’d really appreciate your top picks/suggestions of cream blushes based on different skin undertones?! Something I struggling with a lot (being v cool) is that most blushes look beautiful demonstrated on others but orange and muddy on me haha! Xx

The colourpop serum blush changed my life.

I love this video and this category 🧡 I have a few EM Cosmetics serum blushes but the droppers seem broken - I can hardly get anything out of them 😢

I use Barry M fresh face cheek and lip tint in the shade summer rose. A bit like glossier cloud paints. Gives a natural dewy flush to the cheeks however its not very wearable as a lip tint

The texture of that Charlotte Tilbury blush reminds me of Stila Convertible Colour!

The AOA Cream Blushes from Shop Miss A are truly remarkable - and they're only $1!! They continuously get overlooked but they're honestly one of the best formulas I've ever tried and that price can't be beat.

airy whipped options next please!!! also idk if you forgot about my idea I posted a while ago but to make a video comparing your warm toned vs cool toned red products. its just so fascinating for me to see lips and cheek products in red come in cool tones also so I wanted to see them swatched next to each other since everyone generally sees red as a warm tone

I've been using a lot of my Nudestix products lately. I picked up a set on sale a couple of months ago that contained a Magnetic Plush Paint, a Nudies Bloom, a Nudies Glow, and a magnetic lip & cheek pencil. I am enjoying them all. The staying power is not incredible, but since I am putting on and taking off a mask, eating, drinking, etc., I can't blame the product too much. The plush paint has the most staying power. The highlighter (Nudies Glow) is lovely, and safe for us on eyelids and lips, too, which I appreciate.

It can be easy to end up in clown territory with that formula Shona, don't worry! 😄 I still find there's plenty of colour on the doefoot sponge even after I scrape all of the product off. Maybe try 1 dot per cheek too, sometimes 2 is too much for me as well! x

I have combination skin but I still love dewy cream blushes (I lightly apply translucent powder where I tend to get oily). I don't normally wear highlighter but I like the subtle glass-like skin effect, so I like using dewy blushes or a glowy base product. I definitely want to try a few more shades of the em cosmetics serum blush in the future. I only own Rose Milk atm, but I've my eye on Venetian Rose & Little Lilac. 💖

Cheek to Cheek is my favourite ILIA blush colour! Love the application tips, Matilda! 😍 Sometimes dewy CAN be too dewy and it makes me look sweaty 😂 Have you tried the Daniel Sandler watercolour blushes?

I really enjoy Joy by rare beauty, even though I have combo/oily skin. If I powder over it and use a setting spray on top it does stay on nicely on me. I personally don't like using a powder blush on top, it makes it way too streaky and patchy. I have to say that I am very interested in the Charlotte Tilbury blush, the colour looks stunning.

Hey Matilda, speaking of dew, what would be your recommendation for a subtle, glowy cream highlighter for fair skin? I want to put one on my Christmas wish list because I currently don’t own any highlighter at all! It shouldn’t be too thick and balmy but I like a hydrated look with very subtle luminous shimmer maybe? No obvious glitter though, I think you don’t like that either. I really always trust your recommendations!

I have enjoyed an Anastasia BH cream blush stick this summer. Also, did you see the Drunk Elephant O-Bloos Rosi Drops? It’s very different….

Next video request! Can you do a video focused on one and done eyeshadow for a wet look effect?

What are your thoughts on merit brush? I find ever since washing it, it doesn't feel the same anymore. It's not fluffy when I originally bought it. It feel stiffer. Have you experienced this? (If you have tried the brush)

i love the milk glow oil sticks! i have one in solar, which is like a hot pink color and is one of the more pigmented sticks (or maybe i just put a lot on hahaha)

Yes, one of their cream blushes! It's such a lovely shade, called b.lovely funnily enough 😂 It was in my 2019 Makeup Favourites and several other videos, you can type Lilah B into the search bar on my channel homepage x

I love cream blush, but I have to stick to formulas which contain neither oil nor fragrance, which eliminates a lot of options! Thank goodness for Fenty, and the Em Cosmetics sticks look promising.

Good question Jennifer! Unfortunately I'm not really qualified to give advice for other skin types as I'm not a makeup artist, but I'd ask whether your cheeks ever get oily? If not, these might be ok, but slightly more matte cream blushes (covered in a previous video) are probably a better pick for oily or combination skin 👍 x

I have combo skin and I have some cream blushes: Em Cosmetics, Lisa Eldridge, Salt and Love palette from Natasha. All of them are beautiful on the skin. Salt and Love cream blush can be built. Em and Lisa just a half of drop.

I’m aware that you don’t tend to wear the really light pinks but I don’t suppose you could do an updated video on these shades, I’m just not sure what’s out there in these colours anymore since the shades seem to have fallen out of style 🤍
