Creality Ender 3- Easy Way To Level Your Bed

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Chuck shows you an Easy Way To Level Your Bed on Creality Ender 3 (or any similar size 3D printer). He uses two GCode files: the first to position the nozzle above the adjustment screws and the second is a test print for live adjusting of the bed. When this is completed your printer is ready to print.

@@deanbestall I just got an ender 3 for christmas. Leveled the bed without this video and printed the dog. Came out great except was a pain to get off the bed. I went to print a new item that I sliced using cura standard draft profile and it wasn't sticking. I thought I didn't clean the bed well enough. Tried and tried again. Found this g-code and the bed was way out of level. Re-leveled with this g-code and it's perfect now. Every time I remove the bed to remove a print I'm definitely leveling the bed. I have an Ender 3 Pro running Marlin 0.0.6 dated May 30th 2020 - I ran the M25 as prescribed but it just goes to the first point, stops and does nothing. In your video you make it advance to the next corner just by pushing the button, but that just opens the menu like usual for me. I can select Resume Print, but it proceeds to heat the bed up to 80 degrees when I do. Anyway - looking forward to the next version because I've basically been doing this same procedure manually which is getting really old :)

It has been so reliable for the last two years that I had completely forgotten the basic process of manual leveling...until I needed to do it today while troubleshooting an issue. I was very happy to see that I had saved this video in my Projects playlist all those years ago. It is just as useful to me today as it was back then. I downloaded the gcode files and ran the bed level program three times to ensure the center was set correctly. After the third test, I used the second file to print the squares and it printed perfectly the first time. No loose filament, print held on the print bed, and it had no additional "strings" or flat/high spots on the squares. Thank you so much for this video and the files! This definitely helped me level the bed and ensure I put my Ender together correctly.

Something to think about.. I took my Ender 3 bed to an Engineering / Machine Shop and they leveled the bed precisely (as the Ender 3 bed is cheap aluminum and not flat at all) with a mill to a perfect flat surface. They also squared the frame to frame intersections for a true fit. all for about $60.00us

Creality added 32 bit boards to Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro and Ender 3 V2 and the firmware doesn’t recognize the M0 command. So it may not pause at the corners. See link in video description. You also don’t need the sticker. A piece of paper works the same.

I was able to buy this printer for $100 at Microcenter after discounts and promotion. All my other printers had either touch leveling or the built in leveling routine. I didn't even know that Gcode will allow you to move the print head and wait for a user input. Thanks for providing the gcode. Your work is greatly appreciated and saved me a lot of time.

CHEP, I have to say that your stuff so far has been a lifesaver for my own sanity. I was trying the traditional bed leveling method but it was a complete PITA cause something was always off somewhere. After I looked at your video about Fix Your Creality Ender 3 and Upgrade the Bed Level sure enough: the Z-Axis was fairly off. After leveling it as much as I could and running your G-Code and two tries of the test print, everything came out perfectly, perfect first layer, ran my finger over them and they were pretty solid!

This worked the fist time really good. Now I tried is 3 times in a row, and the layers stick. But if I try to print something else it completely falls off. I've wasted 1/4 if my pla roll on this... I just can't get it to work.

I adjust it so its its a little hard to push the paper through but not too hard it folds if that makes any sense.. And I don't lower the nozzle on the paper but slide it under after it's lowered. I would also adjust to do the steps twice or until you don't have to adjust the knobs anymore. Because aligning one know might slightly off set another.
