He mentions in the video that he would get payed the $25,000 for the royal and then would get payed the progressive. Giving him around 40k

Pretty sure it’s 25k for just the regular bets. The progressive is different.

Dealer had better 5 cards, pair 9, pair king with queen kicker, player had pair 9 pair king with jack kicker

at the 42 min mark the J3 was the same as the 89 basically so if you bet the J3 you may as well bet the 89 as every Jack beats you exc J3 and 89 is the very next hand in order of strength as any 10 makes a pair.

how come they allow you to show your cards up like that on the table? I thought we're not supposed to show our cards in UTH?

Yeah they didn't pay the progressive at all, they just paid the trips 5:1

It’s not a flop progressive. It pays with any full house or better.

You have to place a bet or fold after the turn and river cards are dealt in order to showdown with the dealer, there is no option to check.

No it's a loss, since the board had 2 pairs his pair of 3s doesn't count. They only count the highest 5 cards between the board and your two cards.
