Yes adding to the traffic mayhem last night in Bali (and elsewhere) was Garuda's honouring of cancelled/delayed air tickets during the covid period ends today, Sunday 31 December 2023. So some of those travellers were last minute flyers trying to get that done. Don't be surprised if the same thing happens today/tonight the last day. Selamat tahun baru anda sekalian!

This is nothing. Friday 29 December it took us 1 1/4 hours to exit the car park!!!!

Memang harus ada angkutan umum massal berbasis rel di bali, terutama dari bandara ngurah rai, masalahnya harus di bawah tanah nggak bisa model jalan rel layang seperti LRT di Jakarta/kota lain. Dan konstruksi bawah tanah itu biayanya 3x lipat lebih mahal

Bila bisa terwujud, sangat mendukung transportasi untuk keperluan pariwisata Bali. Perlahan juga akan balik modal meski biaya pembangunan lebih mahal 3x. Dari Bandara Ngurah Rai, mengarah ke Kuta, Legian, Canggu, Sanur. Exit bisa di mall atau di Pasar Seni tiap daerah.

The problem is not the concerts on Bali but: 1. Why not to organize these concerts on Java and Lombok as well. 2. Most tourist rely on only one form of transportation… taxidrivers. 3. The influx of mass tourism and the (over) stay of insta/digital nomads. Current situation will worsen overtime leading to avoiding Bali by wealthy tourists. So the solution is to implement a reliable public transportation system to central hubs in the outskirts of Denpasar. From there tourists can be picked up for further transportation. And stop the unbridled building of all kinds of buildings together with management of the influx of tourists and insta/digital nomads. The latter as these “nomads” economically contribute very limited to the Balinese/Indonesian economy.
