I agree, MP3 is hands down my favorite shooter of all time. FPS and 3rd person shooters too. It’s so fluid and always feel different replaying it.

@@theearthrexden I've tried to do playthroughs like that where I stick with one gun but man, I always just end up using whatever. The dual Berettas is killer though, I'm just such a sucker for the rifles and shotguns. You get a grenade launcher in the game, but I always wish that grenades or pipe bombs were in the game too. Even molotovs would have been nice as well, but there are also environmental explosives in the game. So, maybe explosives and stuff would have been a little overpowering? What do you think of them remaking MP1/2? Remedy is going to be developing it. Rockstar developed MP3, so, we won't get their RAGE engine, but at least they're producing it.

Serious? Maybe on Easy, but on Hard it's just a chore. It's completely linear and repetitive, with just guns, no melee or grenades, and definitely no vehicles. There's games 10x bigger and better than MP3 - move on.

Max Payne 3 on PC is the greatest 3rd person shooter of all time. the combat and gunplay are unmatched to this day.

Totally linear, one-dimensional, and extremely short. Plenty of extremely annoying flaws too (guns switched during the 2 minute cutscenes/load screens, and LMS standing when you have no ammo or the enemy is off screen). I hated the game - maybe on Easy it's fun for awhile.

Wrong. It's just a very short linear game of room-clearing, shooting people with guns, no melee weapons, or grenades, and definitely no vehicles - he can't even run, his run is like watching an old person jog at walking speed. GTAIV has better shooting and cover mode than MP3, and the rest is 10x bigger and better. Then there's GTAV, with countless land/sea/air vehicles, and RDR2 being 3rd person too. You can like it, but what you said is objectively wrong.

​​​​@@goatlpsThere's so many things wrong with this comment I don't even know where to begin. Firstly, no shit it's linear considering it's a story-based shooter not an open world title. Although granted I would've liked it to play more like a sandbox like the first two games considering it can get way too linear at times but still that doesn't make it a bad game for that as it's clearly trying to tell the story of Max and him finally moving on with his life, but still certain aspects can get in the way so it's a reasonable criticism. Then again, I don't get why you're complaining about the running being slow considering Max is much older in this game than he was in the first two games so he would be a lot slower especially since he's also an alcoholic if anything I'm surprised, he's able to run as fast as he could considering the shape he was in at the start of the game's story. Secondly, while I love Rockstar's other games like GTA 4, GTA 5 and RDR2 the gunplay in Max Payne 3 is so much more fun to play with and while it unfortunately lacks certain combat features you'd get from those games it ends up being less clunky as a result (the only other type of feature they added that was pretty useful that I'd like in their other games is to disarm enemies and steal their weapons cause it was pretty badass). The only game that comes somewhat close is RDR2 but even then, it has tons of issues holding it back from perfection. Also, it's clear you haven't played the game since you can melee enemies just not with melee weapons but with your guns themselves and the lack of grenades in the game is so the enemies can flush you out of cover, so you don't stay in cover for too long plus they're kinda clunky to use in Multiplayer, so it was probably for the best anyway. Thirdly, I don't get why you'd want the ability to drive a car in a game like Max Payne considering that was never the focus but just being a complete badass killing bad guys left right and center. For their other titles like GTA 4, GTA 5 and RDR2 it makes sense why you'd be able to drive vehicles cause they're open world games, but Max Payne 3 isn't. Max Payne 3 may not be a perfect shooter by any means, it's got flaws that unfortunately sour the experience for me but the love that was put into the game by Rockstar made up for its shortcomings for me and it'll forever be my favorite shooter and if you don't like it that's fine but don't make comments like this when you clearly don't understand why one game works well in one area and other game does in another area.

​@@greenghost5009 For me personally I think the story is the perfect length with the only real problem with it being the numerous plot holes that made me scratch my head on repeated playthroughs confused why they did certain things and the lack of explanations of them. Also I would've liked longer combat sequences cause unfortunately now that I've played the game so much gunfights are over as soon as they start making me crave for more so if they ever do a remake of MP3 I hope they add more action sequences.

Yeah that's actually some really good attention to detail if the shotgun's recoil causes enemies to fly backwards if they are in 'ragdoll mode' like after being shot in the leg.

My God, we need another one. This is in my top five of best games to play. The multiplayer introduced me to friends that I still play with to this day. Those were some good times.

Incorporating Euphoria into the rage engine was literally a trend setter. The rage engine is decades ahead of everyone else. This was what, 2012 this game came out and people still cannot recreate another development engine that can have the same scene but a different way of killing and them falling every single time. I truly think GTA 6 is gonna be borderline scary how absolute real it looks and feels. If you take this game and rdr2 as examples of what's to come, and take in the fact that the latest with rdr2 is gonna be 7 years ago when GTA 6 comes out. Man, the world ain't fuckin ready. Rockstar been raking billions a year from GTA meanwhile they in the lab cooking for almost a decade making yet again the most expensive game ever created. GTA 6 literally has the budget of the infinity war and endgame. It's officially gonna be ready player one territory once they port the VRs with rage
