Zoroark's Illusion is apparently so good that you can LITERALLY SEE IT AND STILL NOT REALIZE IT'S THERE.

I love how nobody remembers what Zoroark's ability does. It is always so much fun to mess with people who have no idea what's going on.

@@shreyasraman8137 Alcremie used entertainment-- a move which gives the targeted pokemon the ability of the user. Then Shedinja used mimic on Alcremie, which allowed Shedinja to use entertainment. Shedinja's ability is wonder guard, which means they only take damage when the move is super effective. Alcremie switched into Arcanine. Shedinja used entertainment on Arcanine, which gave Arcanine the ability wonder guard. Arcanine then used Burn up, a move which gets rid of the user's fire type. Arcanine is souly fire type, meaning it had no type at all after that (which is what the ??? was). Normally, this means that all attacks would cause neutral damage, but because Arcanine had wonder guard, it'll only take damage from super effective moves, so now you can't damage it with any attack. Tl;dr- Shedinja gave Arcanine wonder guard. Arcanine used burn up to get rid of its fire type. Arcanine has no type anymore, so you can't damage it

I used this strategy but just called it Moltres, on my first game someone terra-watered a hisuan samurott. It got 1 shotted because I had +5 special attack and +2 speed

This happens in anygame that has rng involved, it just that pokemon has much more rng than most games and thing like ring target snd illusion exist and if yout not paying attention u could easiky miss it. Also bcos salty kids get one bad rng roll and thinks u messed with their rng

A lot of people either don't pay attention to what is going on or just don't realize it. Not paying attention to a Zoroark on the team lol. Ring Target Item and the move Burn Up are pretty obscure things. If you asked a lot of Pokémon players I doubt they could tell you what they do. First time i saw the Wonder Guard/Burn Up combo I had to look up what was going on myself.

But I CANNOT tell you how many people in temp's matches (at least the ones that he posts in these compilations) *immediately* assume hacking when [insert pokemon here] uses a move the species cannot learn instead of looking up Zoroark. It's infuriating. Speaking of pokemon ignorance, it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine when people assume that Gardevoir *must* be female. Yes, Kirlia has a gender-locked evolution, that being Gallade. Not only *can* Gardevoir be male, but it's *just as likely* to be male as female. It's not like the Machop line or especially the starter pokemon situation where while both genders exist in the species, it is prominently one over the other. I guess assuming that Gardevoir is a mono-female species wouldn't be *as bad* in my opinion if it wasn't for the fact that it seems like *everyone* does it.

I've watched all of these as clips, it's nice to see the full thing as well.

There is a difference between using stall and using a defensive strategy. I actually prefer defensive games because they bring more depth to the table. The game isn't usually decided on a single prediction. But consistency of prediction and decision making. And even PP amounts become relevant.
