Honestly this remake is the antithesis of the resident evil 3 remake. Whereas that game is incredibly short and the level design is minimalistic, ff7 remake expands upon literally everything in a huge way. It really conveys how gigantic a megacity like midgar actually is. It's awesome

Actually, it doesn't. And it doesn't you don't get to interact with it at ALL. All levels are designed to be as flat, atrezzo-looking as possible. The only glimpse you get of Midgar as an open world game full of life is through CGI. As someone who thinks of the original as the best game ever made, that gave a tear to my eye. And I will leave the fan fiction bullshit for another day.

Yeah...if you ignore the fact that RE3 remake was a remake of the entire game, while FF7 remake was not a remake of FF7, just first 5 hours of it. So comparing the two is absolutely wrong, cuz they didnt expand, They cut out MOST OF THE GAME.

RE3R cut out a lot of stuff from the original and it was supposedly the full game so it was still short. Wish it was longer though. As for the FF7 remake it have separate parts which I think is dumb, they could have released the whole game
