Certainly one of the best vocalists of your generation giving voice to original material and classic covers alike. Keep on keeping on, dude. You spread the joy of music far and wide. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

That great voice… Rock-steady guitar playing, too. Thank you, Carson. I enjoyed that.
Young musicians like you are what I'm thankful for this Thanksgiving because you will keep music 🎶 alive and relevant forever
I sure wish that you would join the Bygones in their group .. they need that 3rd voice and guitar skill to make them a complete (and more successful) trio!

I’m not so sure. I think the bygone’s style of music is different to Carson andThe Other Favourites. The bygones is more classic, dated. Whereas Carson and The Other Favourites seem more folk. That’s my thought anyway. 🤷♀️

@@darrenkoch1718 I used to play in my own (American) folk music band, a Dutch (oepah) group AND in a Greek trio getting the best of all genres. Carson is so much better than I was, I'm sure he can adapt to any kind of music there is. 🌹🌹

This is a really great time for me to lean into my own voice and influences, and focus on developing my channel. I love those two and playing music with them, but The Bygones is a separate project and would be a totally different group with me in it, very hypothetically speaking. We’re all cheering each other on no matter what. Things are as they should be! Thanks for listening and enjoying.
Theres something about your voice Carson, Keep doin' it.
What a treat to kick off the season of being thankful! Thank you Carson! Happy Thanksgiving!

Between the reworked Harmony and the partial capo your Dad gave you, you have a little musical time machine, because both items must bring you a touch of memory and the love that went into them. Fertile ground for comfort and creativity. @@carsonmckeemusic
Carson, your originals and covers alike are as-soon-as-I-can must-listens for me when I see a notification. Thank you for the simplicity with which you present your music. So very good.
Good choice of songs to cover, and you covered it well with artful timing, Carson.

Did you consider putting another capo, a 6-fret one, on the 2nd fret in addition to the 5-string capo on the 4th fret, in order to have the 5 bass note instead of the 4?
Happy Thanksgiving Carson and family. I am so grateful for your talent and videos. Whatever you are.going through, know that you are valued and loved by so many people and we are here for you.

Great cover Carson. Wishfully hoping that we are treated, over this holiday season, to a Dad, Carson, Skylar, Mckee Three treat. Cheers\=/\=/
It feels like a feat to record such a compelling version of a complex song this way. Just such a combination of ambition and musicianship required for it to be possible
Happy Thanksgiving, Carson. Thank you for all your wonderful music, both solo and with your friends. Cheers!

Counting my blessings: your singing is a greater one of them.

Carson, you really are better than anyone on the radio right now! And really good stuff when you and the two young women and your buddy sing together. “Harvest Moon! For example. And we can’t forget your brother who is also very talented.

Though I'm not currently drinking, here's a cocktail recipe for you - "Don't Give Up the Ship": 1.5oz gin 1/2oz sweet vermouth 1/2oz dry curaçao 1/2oz fernet-branca Add all to a mixing glass with ice and stir until cold; strain into a chilled coupe.

As many people here have already mentioned, you have a beautiful voice, Carson. It’s so soothing to hear you sing, as you do it with such passion and clearness of tone. BTW, your (and Josh Turner’s) cover of “Lonely” by Tom Waits is arguably better than the original.
Love the song. What a voice Carson. Just a bit concerned about the gaming setup on the lower left (escape) and the booze at the top right (escape). Hope you don´t have too much to escape from.... you really shouldn´t have, with your talent. Love you Bro!

@@darrenkoch1718 🤣😂 I’m not advocating for it, but am curious. Carson and artists like him, who have a healthy following on social media but are not well-known otherwise - I’m curious why they don’t want to try that path to get name recognition and grow their brand. Honest question.
@darrenkoch1718

@@mediamannaman I’m sure you’re not asking me but I’ll give you my 2 cents anyway. 😂 Those shows aren’t designed to showcase talent. They are about short attention span entertainment. 1st. The shows are morally repugnant. We (the audience) get to laugh at and mock those who try out and have little talent. 2nd The shows limit the performers to only a small part of the song. 3rd They rule out any individual compositions 4th They contestants are “judged” by a trio of has beens or second rate artists who can no longer make money in the industry. In my humble opinion, they are not fit to tie Carson’s bootstraps. And 5th. The shows make music a competition and a business. Commodifying artists and their art. I hate that. Music is a form of self expression. It’s comes from the soul. It allows us to reflect deeply on our lives and is a crucial part of what makes us human. There is already too much commodification in our culture. But… that’s just me. I’m a grumpy old hippy who belongs in the 1960’s. 😂

@@darrenkoch1718 First, I’m always happy to read an honest comment that is written with some measure of respect. Second, while some of your comments do not apply to some of these shows, I agree with most of your complaints. But I’m still interested in how Carson, or Skylar, or Josh would answer the question. But I suspect they would probably answer similar to you. Still, many of the most successful artists today started on one of these shows, so it seems a stepping stone to fame, so I’d like to let them say why they chose a different path. As for being a grumpy 60’s hippy, I’m only a few years behind you, a Boomer who came of age in the 70’s, and I saw how you folks changed the world in the 60’s, and I’m thankful.
Woot first comment.. You Rock Carson

I’m taking an indefinite break-may not be forever, but I need to be able to redefine my relationship with alcohol in a healthy way if it’s going to be a part of my life, and I’m just not there right now. Also, I don’t live alone. The line in my previous song, “I quit drinking again”, is a simpler condensation of a much more complicated decision and an expression that leaves room for the doubt and imperfection that exists within me-also, the narrator doesn’t have to be 100% me in all tunes, so there’s that too.

Life is full of good and bad decisions and a lot of the time you make them based on the information you have the time, emotions, other things and sometime you have no control of them, so you can't beat yourself up about them, what is done is done hopefully you can learn from experience, and can look forward to the adventures in front of you. Hope you have joy from knowing your songs and interpretation of songs are held in high regard. Hope to catch you live again in the UK because that is a whole different and enjoyable experience that you have also provided.
