The thing is… the stock cams are big and lopey at high RPM’s. All the ghost cam tune does is allows the VCT to advance the cam timing at idle to give you the duration and overlap settings normally only achieved at high rpms. Once you hit the gas it reverts back to the normal VCT settings for better down low drivability that you don’t get with a normal big cam set up. Best of both worlds some would say. Others say it’s fake.. but you can fake overlap and duration to get that chop.

I been running a ghost cam in my 14 5.0 for years and it’s been fine. It’s definitely a neck breaker. I wish mine sounded as good as yours. I’m catless, xpipe, res delete, and corsa xtremes but yours sounds better.

which intercooler are you running? looking a g2 kit for me, i want a daily driver so nothing over 650 whp, i talked to my builder he told me to just grab the g3 intercooler and a bov and a 125 pulley, keep stock fuel system for 93 etc etc

Bro, Thats sounds great!! I have a 17 with only 11K on it still. I keep her cover and only bring her out on weekends when its nice out.. I got big plans for this car down the road.. But I live in Jersey no where near E85 and I can't do catless in this state.. I don't want to I stand that stick ass smell anyway.. I'm going to keep it simple 600 plus wheel with stock headers and cats. I want a whipple but with a conservative 93 pump tune.

What State do you live in? I'm in NJ and at inspection, They drive our cars over camera's to look for cat's and pop our hood's looking for anything that may be modified. It's bad here.. They don't even want to see fast cats really.. I am curious to how much power I can make with a Whipple or VMP plus Stock Headers and stock Cats.. Can I push to over 600 wheel with a Whipple or VMP SC and a stage 1 93 pump tune? And I need my car to roll through inspection like it ain't nothing every 2 years without having to swap parts and tunes back to stock? I am willing to give up the 700 wheel for 600 wheel just to be legal.. (If there is anyone in South Jersey building and Tuning these cars please let me know?????) Thanks...

I’m in Mississippi and we don’t have inspections so we pretty much can do whatever we want but yeah 600 wheel is achievable with still being 50 state legal .

Ok so I have injectors , boost a pump and the actual kit but besides that , that’s all thill I upgrade to a g3 , long as you have a 10r80 you shouldn’t have to get need oil pump gears but if it’s a manual then I would advise getting some , make sure to subscribe bro because I have some big plans for the car

@@Gradyboi5.0 you dont need the OPGs unless you're bumping off the rev limiter or 2step, it's an oversold issue. Been running whipples on these coyotes for years w/o ever doing OPGs. if you really needed them, it'd be part of all these kits but they're not cos as long as you don't drive like a rere you're good
