I remember when he had bulalo, ohhh ... he loved it so much and Nelly was taking it slow cause she's watching her figure. Love you guys ,keep making it happen, from Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦.

Awesome time eating there ! The best BBQ is Texas BBQ. I am an Austinite ,that means living in Austin ,Texas, haha . Glad ya'll are having fun ,keep up the great work !!!

Wow I went here maybe 7 years ago, so nostalgic to see it on your channel! Looks the exact same and the food looks just as good!

Now cuz of the foods you’re making us visit Subic again. My husband and I went there 31 yrs ago for our honeymoon for a week and our favorite restaurant was Cork Room, listening to jazz music while eating Salpicao and drinking a pitcher of frozen margarita was the best. I went back home so many times but haven’t had a chance to visit Subic and not fun going there without the husband, we’re planning soon.

I love it there too. Mike and i love the same sauce. Also had a laugh at the waiter walking in reverse at the minute twenty mark.

So much has changed since I left that I don't recognize this place at all! We always went to Rali's and Meat Plus for sheer nostalgia as they were there long before the US exit. Rali's was famous for accommodating off menu requests any time of day (great location; it was nicer before redevelopment but I guess they have to compete); while at Meat Plus, you can actually pick your cut of meat before they cook it. Segara Villas also used to have a quaint and quiet poolside Malaysian joint that had top notch food and service, but not sure if they still function as a restaurant. Finish it off with a drink for me at the lighthouse if it still operates as a bar 😉

You should try Sakura! Its the best Japanese restaurant here. :)

I remember eating there at TEXAS JOE in Subic when I was in high school. My half American/Pinay girl crush invited me to eat there! It was my first time to really eat some authentic American steaks and ribs. It was quite memorable for me, cos I was really happy with the food, and of course, really really happy cause the girl I liked was with me. Good times! I miss her, she's in the States now.

It's very American, you guys are right about the ambiance of that place. Enjoy your dining and stay in Subic!

We always go there when in Subic. Reasonable price and friendly Staff. Keep in making it happen Mike and Nelly!!

We eat there every time we come to Subic from Pangasinan. Before COVID-19 we came once a month. We miss it

Loved that resto... its good to see that it is still open... ive been craving to eat ribs there... about 3 yrs ago, In front of that resto is the usual dock for U.S. navy ships..

Subic used to be an US Navy base thats why the vibe is so American

There are many Americans either still living there or moving to that area. I've eaten at Texas Joes. Service and food is both great.

Drink water first and eat any fruits before eating the main dish. Don't eat rice when you eat such meaty dishes. Also after eating wait for 5mins before drinking to avoid bloated stomach, allow your stomach to grind the food. Exercise the next day

subic used to be an American base exclusive only to them. when they left because of the Pinatubo eruption some establishments were maintained and retained by the new owners including the serving size of the dishes

If I’m not mistaken, George and Lucy actually went to that same restaurant when they were at Subic. :) So you can probably tease them for not recommending the place to you. Haha! 😅

Oh this vlog is making my mouth craving bbq and briskets..enjoyed the opening with only the hot sauce test, and then moved a long table for the meal...lol 😂😂😂, how is the pricing compared to other ribs and bbq place? Do you plan on checking out other beaches in the area (if allowed due to ECQ or GCQ) not sure which one allowed movement in the city?

Highly recommend Rali's Restaurant and then Urban Deli here on base.. There are a couple of great restaurants in Barreto like Mylene's and Wild Herbs (Thai).. You can do a beginners sailing course at the Marina Lighthouse (2 days), TaiChi is a great spa and the attached hotel (Le Charme) has a rooftop pool and bar..

Was the "sour cream sauce" with the Buffalo chicken actually ranch dressing? It's the most popular dressing/dip in the US but Europeans tend to be unfamiliar with it.

I think you have to try meat plus as well, its cheaper but still u will enjoy the food, please explore more here in Zambales, after rainy season I recommend u to visit Nagsasaga Cove and drop by in Capones Island 😘❤💞 Godbless and take care Mike and Nelly
