I was gonna say the same thng. For real guys, beware of those scammers. They will take advantage of you. Ang the tricycle is not allowed on main highways. Always check your travel options via google.

Jolibee was the first time I got fried chicken served with gravy. That was a match made in heaven. I hope you guys got to visit the Mall of Asia, they have a great food court there and the bakeries inside that place was pretty darn good.

Except that malls in the Philippines are packed on weekends, especially Sundays. It has taken the place of public parks where families gather (for picnics), mainly to escape the heat. Go on weekdays for a more leisurely stroll.

Your enthusiasm in your first dive to the Philippines is quite infectious! Being Vietnamese yourselves you fit in nicely with our Filipino culture. You'll have enormous fun and experience in this multi-cultural spread out county. Have a blast and we're following your adventures. Keep safe and well.

Try to visit BGC the modern part of Manila. You can also go to Poblacion Makati if you wanted to experience the night life. Try to visit Intramuros -the only walled city in all of South East Asia for a bit of history. Intramuros is the old part of Manila with lots of colonial buildings. Not far from it is Binondo which is the oldest china town in the world. Another interesting place to visit is the Korea town in Malate, Manila

@Sneak Onhead yes it's true and it's beyond our control but we can suggest interesting places tho. Let's just give good and positive reasons why the Philippines is a must visit. There are alot of vloggers that feature street porns and poverty porns and believe me they're not doing it for the people nor for our country's benefit but for themselves to increase the number of views because those things are controversial. The Philippines is way better than that and I like the whole western world to see and know that, for they always viewed the Philippines as a country of poor people which is not true because most of us are middle class citizens.

We definitely started our Philippines trip with a high! If we got in line for the ferris wheel, we would have missed Gab Tattoo at the bay. Things happen for a reason!

I'm a Filipino and I've seen this over and over with that trike price you should've used grab instead. So basically trike and taxi is prone to fare scams, the moment they sense that you don't have the idea of fares they'll over charge you. better use jeepney, bus, grab, or any online service with fixed fare to destination. I'm not saying that all trike and taxi are scammers, thing is there are few bad apples that will take advantage of the situation. So sorry about that guys, that was so embarrassing.

You could get a Baybayin tattoo... it's a traditional script/writing system in the Philippines, before Spanish colonization. It's Abugida similar to Thai, Kawi and Burmese scripts.

Haha random but one of our favourite memories about the Philippines now!

You guys should've just walk a little bit further and took the underpass (nice art and murals) towards Ayala and Greenbelt park. They're very unique cos they are like oasis/greenery in the middle of the city. Greenbelt mall is an amazing mall with lots of restaurants and shops. Also in Makati, visit "Aling Sosing" carinderia (Filipino foods visited by Anthony Bourdain and Mark Wien's). While in Makati, have a beer or cocktails in I'm hotel to view Manila's Skyline at night. BGC is a must see in Manila. Its an ultra modern city with high rise buildings and street art. High street, Forbes town, Uptown mall, and SM Acura (rooftop) are spots to visit here. Also, the Filipino -American cemetery in the heart of BGC is so huge and peaceful ( similar to Normandy and Washington). Binondo (oldest Chinatown in the world) with amazing dumplings, BAO 's and noodle shops . Old town historic Intramuros, Cathedrals, Fort Santiago, and Luneta park are walking distance from each other. Manila is a megacity divided into 16 districts . FYI, there is a mall culture in the Philippines that is not found anywhere else.

A little sad that so much of Vietnam was not covered and I was surprised with your quick departure. Philippines is awesome having been there as well. El Niño is my favourite place on Palawan island.

Our visa was up in Vietnam and we want to check out the Philippines before the typhoon season starts. We'll go back to explore Central and Southern Vietnam one day :)

@@FloraandNote yup, and I enjoyed it :). Just enjoy your stay here in PH :) and much better if you can go in the mountain and sea (beaches) parts of the PH, like Boracay, Baguio, etc.:)

hoping you can visit BGC high street the theme parks and also OCEAN PARK and lastly eat at the seascape(at night) highly recommended...btw love your vids

Aww, I miss my Thai friends from Bangkok. It's been a while! Great to see you're having fun on your first day in Manila! That tattoo session was soooo random. But man, he's quite good! I wonder if he's at the bay a lot. Have fun exploring the Philippines!

It was actually the tattoo artist's first time tattooing at the Bay. He isn't selling his services. He has his own KZread channel (Gab Tattoo) where he does tattoos. It was free as he wanted to gift us a small ink souvenir to take home with us.

@@FloraandNote that was a great experience my brother. Hope you will enjoy more on staying in the Philippines. Keep safe. I would recommend you to ask the locals not the drivers. If you want to commute for the fare. So you would know how much it should be. And you will perhaps avoid scams
