I'm glad you've finally included the Arcade Archive version, which is the something I wasn't able to see in GHS's Let's Compare videos these days.

@@retrosutra It sure was. However, one thing I must point out is that the letter "C" in "Climber" wasn't capitalized.

Every version that have a bird with bloody diarrhea is a good version. Famicom is also good.

Hello retrosutra all the versions are beautiful
I played a ton of the 2600 version back in the day.
I played the hell out of CC in one of my local arcades in the 80's. It's sad the was so underrepresented as far as ports here in the US. Your game play is quite impressive. I've never been able to dodge out of the way so easily from all of the falling objects and climb so fast. One thing though is that I wish you would have shown the fact that you can survive being hit by most falling objects as long as both hands are firmly holding a space in an open window. People not familiar with the game might think the game looks far too difficult assuming that all items must be avoided.

I almost didn't make the video due to the weird and difficult control, but after many many tries I got the hang of it. Regarding the feature that you mention, you are right. I thought about it when I already had everything captured. It took me so long to do some versions so for the sake of my sanity I decided not to repeat them.
The Famicom version features warp pipes from the Mario franchise.
Now show us the controller you used to play these ;) They need to come out with an actual arcade game with every version on here so it actually feels like playing because you need two joysticks like Robotron
3:05 Oh noooo- 4:14 Wayaaa !
There was a rip-off of CC on the C64 called Squish-Em. Loved that game!

Thanks for this, really appreciate it!
The Arcadia version makes the 2600 version look so much better. Edit: WHAT WERE THEY THINKING WITH THAT APPLE 2 VERSION?!?!
I was interested in that game, but the problem is, I suck at playing this game. Still, I quite like this game.

Yeah, that's true.
Very early arcade, obviously ported on many obscure systems ive never heard of. As for versions i do care about, have to say that Apple II version is disappointing.
bro why the NES version more detailed than the arcade
Pedazo de juego el crazy climber es de mis favoritos, jugaba en mi infancia en un bar por 25 pesetas je je
I wonder how many of these conversions, especially for old systems, used two controllers for the arcade authentic feel. Games like this and Robotron and BattleZone and such were at a disadvantage in many of these older systems because of the two controller issue, but a lot of them made due with what they had.

@@aniluaces149Actually, the game itself even predates the original Donkey Kong by about a year. Of course Crazy Kong came after it.
I had no idea there where so many different ports! I knew of the VCS version, which is rare because it was only available through Atari Club, (and in my opinion one of the weakest since it mapped both arms to a single joystick, cutting your climbing speed in half.) And the Famicom version was one of my favorites due to it having a puzzle element with hidden medals and an advanced course available for finding them all. But there was a version for the Apple ][!? And how does the GBC version work with just one Dpad and two buttons? Then there's the homebrew ports for Astrocade and Colecovision. I wanna see someone make more ports to platforms CC should've been released on, like the Commodore 64, Atari 8-Bit Family, ZX Spectrum, MS DOS (Maybe 8088 or Tandy), Intelevision, Atari 7800, SG-1000, the list goes on! Someone out there who knows how to code on these platforms, GO FOR IT!
Arcade: don't have anything to say about it; it's the arcade version. PC-80: doesn't even look like a finished game. Where did the helicopter go? Bandai Handheld: somewhat interesting LCD conversion. Arcadia 2001: this is a simplistic and barebones port. Atari 2600: dang, if that death animation isn't filled with adrenaline, I'm gonna be slightly confused. Apple II: dude, are we climbing on a Coke building of the dead?! Famicom: Crazy Climber, definitive edition. Sharp X68000: pretty close to the arcade version. Wonderswan: despite the lack of color, close enough to the arcade version. GBC: looked like it was going somewhere, but still rough around the edges. Bally Astrocade: considering the year, I bet this game was graphically designed like this on purpose. ColecoVision: interesting. Pretty interesting. I'm not going to do the rest, as they are just in game collections, or are too similar to the arcade.
MIssed one. HYPER Crazy Climber for PS1 (JP)
Where can I play the Atari version ? Nintendo switch
Probably the only game where the C64 version does not dominate all other plattforms... ...because there is no C64 port available :-D
Suction cup man the game!

@@fernandomenendezsalvador3972 muchas gracias.
