I just graduated from college with a friend on the baseball team who played with both Zach and Nick Burdi (a.k.a. the Burdi Brothers) in travel ball state tournaments. They're both injury prone pitchers who had a lot of upside as prospects but just haven't been able to put it together in the MLB, yet I still think they can salvage a career in a bullpen somewhere. To me, it's awesome you pulled a superfractor of one of them! I was commenting to myself when you pulled a regular refractor of Burdi earlier that I wish he played well enough that he'd be a name to put on the separate pile. Loved this vid Phil!

Hey Phil love the channel….quick question is there one or two players that you went hard into, that you thought for sure would be great and ended up being a bust?

I remember Burdi from the NCAA super regionals. He was the closer for Louisville and ended up being a top pick. His team was up 3-0 in the bottom of the 9th when he lost command, walked a few then gave up a game winning grand slam to a freshman from UC Santa Barbra who had like 20 AB’s on the season and sent them to Omaha 😂

What's crazy to me is I pulled at least 3 Gavin Lux base autos but never got a Carlson or Dalbec! That was a really good box and that Super is still good!

In 2016, Dalbec was the only big hit besides the super anyway, Carlson was a dime a dozen. Delvin Perez was the Cardinal to get back then. Thankfully, I still have 5000 ct boxes of base chrome, paper, and colors just sitting around needing to be gone thru again. My biggest hits out of 2016 draft would have to be a Gold Alonso Auto that graded out BGS 9.5/10 and a Blue Lux that gemmed as well. Centering was horrible in that release.

Would love to see a new side of card videos maybe one on the sales side, what you sell/for how much/profit made/etc.

I played for Dylan Carlson’s dad in high school my freshmen year (Jeff Carlson). He brought in roughly 18 state titles to Elk Grove HS during his tenure.
