Amazing, the original place where the Cavern Club was is passed by as everyone goes to all the modern pubs, clubs and pretend cavern. It was a dark narrow street with the Grapes on one side, the Cavern Club across the road, the rest warehouses.

The present cavern is built on 70% 0f the original cavern they just moved it farther down

Played flanagans apple so many times, happy days

Come and have a bevvy in Liverpool it's a great place full of characters and is visited by people the world over,just the other month a couple of Scottish girls just wanted to listen to me and my mates scouse accents! Plenty of live bands you can't go wrong.......enjoy 😊

Best night out in the UK Liverpool

I was born and raised in Liverpool and have lived in America since I was 18. I'm a young 83 year old now. Looking at this video actually made me sad. I was there for three months last summer and had to walk through town many a night to get to my destination. It wasn't a pretty sight, at least, not for me. Liverpool is beautiful now and well worth any tourist time spent there. But I would gladly take the old Liverpool anyday, with its empty warehouses and bombed buildings. What we had then was a semblance of dignity. Now, churches are empty and turned into high-end flats while young people fill the bars, clubs and discos every night, searching for some joy or meaning to life. I found it where I least expected it; in the person of Jesus of all people. He is the only one who can really bring joy and peace to a persons life. He is the only one who can take all of the filth and garbage from you and put it on Himself so that you can go free. Then He puts new life in you so you can live for Him as a child of God. But you have to be ready and willing to make that exchange; one miserable life for a life of amazing peace.

Well , isn't it good for Liverpool that it is attracting people from all over the world too see the Beatles spiritual home, my only criticism is it can be a bit feral on Friday , Saturday nights on the street because of the intake of alcohol and occasional begging, but I think we should always treasure the legacy of the greatest cultural musical phenomenon of the twentieth century and enrichen it for all the people who visit Mathew street

It is a bit to be fair. I´m from Liverpool but don´t venture to Matthew Street or Concert Square. Not unless you like Stag and Hen Do´s, scrapping, dick ´ed bouncers, places that won´t let you in with trainers, and generally shite commercial music. Liverpool has much better places to offer for a night out.

Tell me about it. Was there on Saturday night and it's like a zoo. My ears are just recovering from the overloud music being played in every place; so loud it was painful. Pubs were well overpriced with an average soft drink being £4. Then the litter bins are overflowing with shite everywhere. Sounds like I'm a misery but I'm actually not. Love music and happiness but love my health too.

Shame but it's a dive ,tacky sports bars,stag n hens,shite
