Craziest mountain bike ride story.
This was coming down from the Flattop mountain area. I was riding mountain bikes with my dad and I came upon a moose that had been killed and torn in half by a bear. One half of the body was to the left of the bike trail and the other half was off to the right. This was in Anchorage, Alaska around 1988.

Good pt; if it was only 5% done eating, instead of 95% done, he might not have walked away from his kill so easily when he heard me coming. Also the mother moose would likely still be very close by and may also be aggressive towards us.
