Not only was that minifigure gun not made by Lego, but Lego has plenty realistic-enough guns (the revolvers and pistols ubiquitous in the Western and Adventurers themes) and things that look enough like a gun (hose nozzles, sink taps, megaphones) that it's a case of literally who even cares. It's Lego themselves who specifically don't want to make realistic _modern military_ aesthetic guns despite the fact that these would be very popular with the children, because they don't want to feel like they're turning war into a game.

The way it works is they put the red one behind another red piece and then after you add that you put another piece a.k.a. the really long piece and you put it down on the middle I think it is maybe like a little less than the middle, but after you do that, you let the guy sit down and then it looks so much more different in trippy

You can see base is 8 stud wide but seems like up is 6 studs, just because there is yellow line made after green as brick but also first guy sits on lower elevation of it and hidding the brick behind him. Second line behind first guy is yellow brick + 2x2 red tile above, but before first guy its Red brick with red plate in third row making similar height from perspective the photo was taken. Not sure have I managed to explain it.
