I am so confused why people were arguing about whether copying idol or sock was better. From my understanding the numbers fall out to this: If you copy sock there is 5 repetitions of the cards - 1 for regular, 1 for red seal, 1 for sock, 1 for blueprint, and 1 for brainstorm. --- Since everything is glass, each time 1 repetition goes by the mult multiplier goes up by --> 2^5 (Glass) * 2^5 (Idol) = 2^10 --- For 5 repetitions of this 2^10 * 2^10 * 2^10 * 2^10 * 2^10 = 2^50 would be the total mult multiplier from copying sock with brainstorm and blueprint. Now if you copy idol with brainstorm and blueprint instead then you would get only 3 repetitions - 1 for regular, 1 for red seal, and 1 for sock. --- Since everything is glass, each time 1 repetition goes completes the mult gets multiplied by --> 2^5 (Glass) * 2^5 (Idol) * 2^5 (Brainstorm) * 2^5 (Blueprint) = 2^20 --- For 3 repetitions of this 2^20 * 2^20 * 2^20 = 2^60 would be the total mult multiplier from copying Idol with brainstorm and blueprint. Now wouldn't this mean copying idol is just better by a factor of 1024? Let me know what you guys think about this and whether I am just wrong altogether lol. Thanks for reading!

I do think you're right, although it's not intuitive. My initial thought was that copying the sock is better because it gives you multiple idols AND multiple glasses, wheras copying the idol just gives you multiple idols and not multiple glasses. I think this is probably what a lot of chat assumed as well. But in reality, all the cards being glassed basically just counts as having an extra idol since they do the same thing. So without the copiers, you have 2 Idols multiplied by 3 Triggers (base hand + red seal + sock). If you copy idol, it ends up as 4 Idols × 3 Triggers = 12 Idol effects. If you copy sock, it ends up as 2 Idols × 5 Triggers = 10 Idol effects.

Best answer for copy Idol vs copy Sock is actually to copy each of them once. Copying idol twice would have multiplied the mult of a flush five by 1024 over copying idol, but doing one each gives the same mult and a lot more chips from retriggering all the foils an extra time. Even though this run was really good, Dan could have gone 3 Es higher

Yeah you should try to get your x2s and your retriggers as even as you can, its like the rectangle perimeter problem. If youve got 12 meters of fencing then its more efficient to make a 3x3 pen(9 sq meters) than a 5x1 pen(5 sq meters)

If you get blueprint & brainstorm again in the future, to simplify what you're copying, you can put the blueprint to the left of the brainstorm & the card you want to copy on the leftmost spot then blueprint will just act as a brainstorm. Yes, this run could have gone to stupid levela of e, what with the Baron & Mime showing up, high card red seal steel kings would've done very well. But as you & the chat said, the hand size was too small & the transition would have taken a while. It took until ante 11 for paintbrush to show up, & without Chicot, it could have been a balancing act to get enough kings in hand.

Ghost deck is great. I love holding on to cryptid for those elite mega standard pack pulls with seals and kings and holographic editions plopped on top of steel enhancements. Here's another good one to hold, keep ouija in case you run into the turtle bean joker, or the serpent boss where you can get ridiculously large hand size. Then pop your ouija spectral doo doo and have like 20 of the same rank instead of 9 of them. That's a spicy meat-a-ball.

That was some Pog-rich content. That run got legs and it could hsve been even better. Makes me want to try that seed, see how far I can take it

Trading card and cert would be epic. I just did a run where I got trading card, DNA, and I pulled a polychrome lucky King of hearts with a purple seal out of a gosh danged dee dee mega standard doo-doo pack. I saw others rate standard packs as not worth buying on tier lists. I'm wondering how else they expect to get cards like that. Lining up the perfect spectrals multiple times and then using a tarot, all while hoping the same card comes up? Where you usually can't even get spectral cards as consumables except with ghost deck? Anyway, I deleted everything that wasn't my lucky polychrome king of hearts and I cryptid and deathed and DNA'ed that king. I tend to play every run, no rerolls, so I see a run like this once a month at best. That run would have been good with just a regular king of hearts being copied with DNA and all my other cards burned up, but polychrome and DNA is fun. How often do you even get to play with multiple polychrome cards, let alone all your cards? It's happened to me so rarely, meaning never before, I didn't know whether I should steel a bunch of them and play high card or play flush fives, I'd never had a run with either with polychrome and didn't immediately know which strategy was better. I guessed flush fives because polychromes get played, but I also had hanging chad which was popping off and had a large hand size, so I was genuinely torn.

''trading card on the right.'' Random chatter, it doesn't matter what order you multiply things in. 5 times 2 times 10 is the same as 10 times 5 times 2. It's called the associative property of multiplication. You do put additive mult on the left, but if there is nothing **additive** to the right of a multiplicative joker then it doesn't matter where you put it.

Hologram was holo (foil?) which was adding 10 base mult before its x mult triggered. So you want that flat mult added before your x mults trigger, which is why trading card should be to the right

The idol joker takes all of dans cards in his deck and chooses one randomly. So since he had like ~80 kings he had an 80% chance to get king of hearts all be worth 2x anytime they trigger. But it chose one of the ace of spades which meant he lost all of those 2x bonuses he was getting before
