i loved both simon albums it was my high school soundtrack, The problem with playground is that they decided to record it pretty much all live in the studio which a lot of bands like hardcore superstar and others did at the time and that made the production not the best but still a fucking awesome album just not as good as GW. the reason simon left was it was all just too much for him the persona he created took him over and the death of their manager was a big part to it also.

Simon is still my sleaze-hero! Since 2010 when I saw Generation wild video for the first time and till now. Unfortunately Crashdiet was already with Gabriel when I saw them live. Gabriel is a really great vocalist, actually, in my opinion he was the best Crashdiet's vocalist if we talk about good singing only. But Simon's huge charisma... No one had it, only him! That's why I love him so. He's the true sleaze-hero!💖

No one can top Dave. But I saw them live once and only once when they first hit up the UK with Simon for one gig with Peepshow in the UK. Dream come true for me at that time.

Great documentary! I just met the members of the "new era" of CRASHDIET with John Elliott and Michael Sweet. I gave Peter London and his fiance a ride to the Miami port for the Monsters of Rock cruise. They were such nice guys! I'm looking forward to the new era with John on vocals and excited to see what he will bring to the band. Keep up the great videos!🤟😎

Another great Doc Richy. They were definitely riding high in his era. I saw them in 2013. Absolutely blew me away. Simon was electric on stage. The band sounded so good. I agree that Simon was the right man at the right time. However, if he is happy living his life now, the more power to him. How many of us can say the same?

Great Video man. I wish I knew what the real reason was but touring like that must definitely takes a hit on your physical and mental being one way or another. I love everybody in the band, but we are not aware of the issues that happened behind the tour bus or shows. Being in a band it's kind of like being married in a way. I hope there isn't bad blood between them. I am grateful for everything that simon did in the band, and I wish the band the very best.

Such a great documentary! Thank you so much! I have been following Crashdiet since 2003. And i could not agree more with you @RichyKearnsProductions I hope Simon Cruz will Return as well, i have always been curious why he did leave the band back in 2015 while they were on tour? Hmm. Simon Cruz was definitive the best singer they had , he had it all. The charisma and looks and his voice was on fire, it was perfect. Dave Leppard was the leder and the master brain behind this amazing band, and was a amazing songwrither with a lot of passion.(R.I.P) Olli Herman dident fit the Crashdiet style with his voice. Gabriel Keys was good, but he did not have the charisma Simon had. I am courous about their new singer they just got. Not heard of him or his former band before. Keep up the good work! You got yourself a subcriber. Great Job! Cheers from Norway 🇳🇴🎸🎤🤘

thank you so much it means a alot to me that you enjoyed it and this is how i feel aswell but perhaps i may have been to harsh on Gabriel he came into the band at an unpresented time and following a singer like Simon well how do you do that ? thanks for the sub man

You're absolutely right on everything here. Simon had that magical "IT" that you can't teach. I'm praying he comes back at some point.

"Mommy! Why is there an androgynous blonde being cut open with a power drill!" 😂 this video is awesome, but that part was funny. Simon Cruz was my idol, i think he was the greatest frontman in modern rock music

I became a fan not long after Simon left the band, I like all the albums, but Generation Wild and The Savage Playground are definitely on top for me. I'm sad I missed out on seeing them during that time. Confess is awesome, excited to see their singer now in Crashdiet!

Awesome documentary Ritchy! Again am a big Dave Lepard fan but my second choice would be Simon Cruz of course. Was shocked to see John Elliot of Confess up there in a good way. Cause im a Confess fan also and never imagined that's who they got as new frontman. Im stoked to say the least. . .so glad it's John up there. He's amazing and will be a great guy for this band. Badass. But. . .they can never replace Dave. There was nobody like him as a frontman he was fucking amazing up there. His vocals his persona and as a person everyone who meet him said he was the nicest guy ever. Not to mention his writing lyrics ability was great. So to that note rock on Crashdiet and welcome John Elliot to the madness of Crashdiet!!! Again thanks Ritchy your documentaries are great.
