As others have said, an absolutely perfect album from start to finish. This song resonated with me so much, especially a few years later when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2001. I’d been sick for almost 2 years, coughing my brains out because I had a bulky tumor sitting on my lungs. The lyrics describe that experience so well. I’ve heard the rattle in my bronchi, indeed.

This is my favorite Crash Test Summies album, I am so glad I bought the CD, and I want to buy the album too. Every track on this album is great, it's not every album that you can say that every track is good, but this album is an album that you can say, every track is good. Thank you crash Test Dummies

Always liked Crash Test Dummies, worked with them on a tour for 8 shows from this album. Brad, you didn't point out Benjamin Darvil, he may not be part of the band for whatever reason anymore, but he does deserve credit for being on the album and being part of the Crash Test Dummies.

@@tedpaniccia275 Ted, I just saw your question. Yes I did know the that Ben and Brad have issues between themselves. The issues were initially based on creative issues within the band between Brad and the other members, mainly Ben. When the band started out they agreed to a democratic (everyone having an equal say in writing), Brad at some point began over riding that agreement and Ben was the one who spoke out against it and eventually left the band after being austercized from it by Brad. I know this because I worked for the band during the time the situation was happening and had worked for them a few years before on the Ghost's That Haunt Me Tour. Brad doesn't want to point it out because Ben was very much an integral part of the band and when things went south, Brad wasn't in the good with the rest of the band over it. Brad failed to realize that Ben had lots of opportunities to play with many other musicians and projects because of his diversity in instruments he plays and his very strong skills writing music and lyrics, whereas Brad didn't have the same strengths at all and because of his voice and vocal abilities, he was very limited to sing only in CTD. If you look back to when they had their last charted album, it was the last album that Ben was on and took part in writing. After that, CTD pretty much became a novelty act. Ben has gone on to do tonnes of different work, as well as Ellen and Mitch. Brad has done little and Dan has continued playing and producing with a number of artists and projects. Brad faded away into the industry background with a chip on his shoulder that he caused for himself, but can't openly admit that it was his attitude and ego that brought the band to a near halt. The only reason CTD didn't come to a complete end was because the rest of the band was still wanting to have the band play live, it's a business thing (money). At the time things went off, it was what they all had at the time. Many other opportunities came up afterwards for many of them. Hope that answers your question.

He really avoids talking about the song. He mentions towards the end that Ritchie Havens plays on the track, but neglects to say which part he played. (presumably the acoustic guitar line). He then tries to go on to the next song with like 40 seconds remaining. Come on man, tell us what inspired the song, the reference to TS Eliot, how you came to get Ritchie to sit in, ....something.
